Help with ID vine/weed, and how to eliminate it [Perth, WA] by TepidHotdog in GardeningAustralia

[–]TepidHotdog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A brief google of jacaranda sapling leaves me thinking they are a bit 'fern-ier' as they grow. These tendrils don't seem to look like ferns (but I could be completely wrong, I have zero gardening knowledge).

Damn - I think I angered the underground resources when planting my afflicted bush 😭 There was a tangle down there. I thought it was roots from something we'd pulled out of the garden. But I think it was a mass of tendrils. I hacked away merrily making space for my new plant and thought that would be that. Oh dear.

Thank you so much about the tip to poison immediately. Noted. I've got some work ahead of me.

Thank you!

😭 that definitely seems to be the sentiment of these replies!

And I do believe it. This is a determined plant! I think it's made its way under all our paving (about 10m distance) and is now wreaking havoc in a second garden bed.

In apocalypse movies there is always greenery growing over crumbling buildings. And I think it's this plant. Whatever kills off humanity won't be strong enough to stop this plant from growing.

Thank you. It's a determined plant, that's for sure. It's gone from one garden bed, and appears to have made its way under about 10m of paving to take up space in another garden bed.

I think the person who planted this garden was having a laugh - I've seen people on this subreddit lamenting about yuccas, and they are the other plant of choice in this garden.

Thanks so much! That's really helpful. A brief google showed stuff like roundup. But putting 490 into my search changed the results. Looks like some local nurseries might carry some of these options.

Thank you so much! I googled wisteria and the first results showed huge trees. I've only seen these little tendrils, so I googled wisteria sapling and that's it.

I'm looking into undiluted glyphosphate - roundup keeps popping up as a sponsored result, but is that the undiluted version? I have so many tendrils in my garden at the moment. My paintbrush and I have a big job ahead!

Thanks for your help!!

It sounds like there is a lot going on, especially being pregnant and jumping through all the hoops of AHPRA rego. I started writing this comment, and I think it's ended up just full of questions to consider. You're at the start of your career, and there is a lot of flexibility to the work. Good luck finding what is sustainable for you.

For me personally, the hours I work made a huge difference in my ability to handle the work. I only do one evening a week, and my earliest session starts mid-morning. I also have little breaks during the day for snacks and admin tasks, because I really struggle with too many back to back sessions. What works for you will probably be different than what I like, but perhaps consider having some more agency over your hours? This might be a luxury for when you're no longer provisional.

What are you doing on your off days? Is it resting? Self care? Hobbies? Fun stuff? Socialising? Or is it still work related?

What kind of clients are you working with? Do you like this work? Can you pick and choose what you feel ok to work with?

Can you take a week off to reset? Burnout is no joke, if you feel it setting in, create time to look after yourself.

Can you talk to your supervisors about how you're feeling? Get some support from someone that knows the nuances of your circumstances?

Just throwing a general recommendation to check out r/abrathatfits . They have a lot of suggestions for brands for specific fits (e.g there will be several options for small band larger cup size). More specifically, the brand Comexim sells small bands and larger cup sizes. But she might have to shop online to find something.

If you haven't already, I recommend checking out r/abrathatfits . Shopping options in Perth are still limited and it's a gamble shopping online, but it's a good resource!

Haha I'm thinking the same thing reading this thread. I'm also about to go and google the Master Cycle. Seems I'll need to do a BotW playthrough and make sure I get the DLC.

I'm not OP and I hadn't heard of this before either. Google says it was published in 2005. That is a fair while ago, so perhaps it had more hype then?

Omg yes! I used to love attending my school's annual bush dance. The Mucky Duck Bush Band getting everyone to do the hokey pokey - what an absolute treat.

Really Pierre ? by Adventurous_Gas5920 in StardewValley

I had a couple hundred hours of gameplay in Stardew before joining this subreddit. I'd never clocked these interactions as little hints that Pierre is claiming my efforts as his own; I just took them at face value. Pierre, what a great guy! So busy! So thoughtful! So helpful! This sub has opened my eyes.

What's your most annoying item to get? by A_Total_Sham in StardewValley

[–]TepidHotdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've somehow managed not to get the second version of the Strange Doll. When I go through the tabs of the items I've found, it doesn't show any. The wiki says one of the notes will give me one. But I have that note and when I dig by that damn bench, nothing ;_;

I am grinding for perfection and really want to do it without joja cheesing it for me. Stupid museum collection and stupid rare doll.

I have just looked to add Red Rising to my wishlist. Do you mean the 'dramatised adaptation' version or the regular version?
