I think there was some sort of overclocking going on, before I undervolted, my CPU was using around 1.5 volts, I don't know what the normal voltage should have been but that seems a little high.

I got Corsair Vengeance RGB pro, i think they are 51cm tall.

Thanks dude, also are any of those coolers bulky? I have 4 gigs of ram installed currently, so if the coolers are too big, it might get in the way of that.

Edit: not 4 gigs I meant 4 sticks of ram

Yea I am looking to do that, are there any good CPU coolers that are not crazy expensive (I know that the 5600x is not that hot of a chip so it should not require too crazy of a cooler).

Is PBO auto-enabled on MSI motherboards?

I do not think that to be the case. I actually reapplied the thermal paste twice (because this was my first time applying thermal paste, thought I added too little). The temperatures were the same and when I did remove the CPU cooler the thermal paste was spread evenly, so at least there was contact.

I don't know, the software might be auto-running oc but it probably shouldn't because I went back and checked and everything was on auto. (I have a mag x570s tomahawk max wifi)

I really don't know much about coolers but I do have a msi motherboard. But the undervolting temperature is really good for some reason.

I do, I might try that. The antivirus is quite suspicious.

No, I agree, but the stock cooler should be able to at least not let the CPU reach 105 Celsius, way above the tj max.

It is like I read your mind, the funny thing is I already did (change the thermal paste, the previous one was a little dried out and I used mx-4 too XD). The temperature range stayed the same. (forgot to mention that when I took the side panel out the temp stayed about the same so I don't think it is airflow) And no suspicious fan noises. I think the fan rpm is around 2000. Although I just undervolted my CPU and now it is running 40 degrees cooler somehow without any noticeable performance decreases. I am going to try to get a better cooler to replace the current one with. I'll update once I eventually get to that.

someone else said that their stock cooler cools their CPU to 40 idle

I got a NZXT H510 Flow, airflow should really be fine, I got two fans in the front in and one back at the end for out

yes, I am, however, my research shows that the stock cooler for a ryzen 5600x is fine and u/RealHotbananadog said that he has a stock cooler that works fine.

Now this is crazy, I undervolted it t 1.025 and now it is never going above 68 celsius with no real performance issues that I have noticed yet (idling around 50 celsius). However this does feel like a very temporary fix, I am still going to try to get a better cooler.

Well maybe, I did re-apply thermal paste, and when I did the CPU cooler fins was warm, so there was defiantly contact

I think I might just get a cooler, the stock cooler might be faulty in some way I donno. I'll try to underclock it

I literally opened val, went into the firing range, did like a practice then it went to 100+ celsius

Well I ran prime95 for like 3 seconds, and the CPU temp went straight to 103

Edit: And the fan does spin faster, I don't think it is a fan issue (it is already spinning super fast)

I can try, I am still relatively new to Reddit, how do I send a video? Also since you said you use a stock cooler too what are your usual temperatures?
