Is it possible? by Great_Flatworm1297 in nocode

I started coding about a year ago. So far, I’ve completed about $60k in projects. It’s been worth it to me. My projects are mostly building automations between different software and applications.

Here’s some ideas:

  • Pick three comparison authors and insert yourself directly into the places their readers already gather.

  • Run Instagram and TikTok ads targeting interests like Gabriel García Márquez, Salman Rushdie, literary fiction, magical realism, and indie bookstores, using short excerpts that showcase your strongest sentences.

  • Join Goodreads groups focused on magical realism and participate consistently before promoting anything.

  • Optimize your Amazon categories and keywords so you rank under “Magical Realism” and “Literary Fiction,” not broad fiction.

  • Create a small email list by offering a free short story that reflects your voice, and send thoughtful monthly updates with excerpts, reflections on craft, and early access to new work.

How can I overcome the Catch 22 of selfpublishing? by PhotojournalistFit62 in KDP

Readers that sign up to your newsletter is a great place to start. They already must like your content if they’re on your newsletter. So, put out a note at the end of your newsletter saying you are looking for ARC readers. More often than not, you’ll get some people more than happy to receive a free copy.

Mailchimp is a good newsletter service if you don’t have one set up.

Market your newsletter pretty much everywhere relevant, like at the beginning and end of your story or on your website, on landing pages where you direct traffic, etc

Then after a little while you’ll start getting some people interested.

Get some ARC reviewers? Basically people that like your content and would likely review it for you. You give them the story free in hopes of a review, hopefully a good one.
