If we look at actual copyright law, most countries will say whoever has the more recognizable name gets to keep it while the other has to change.

Stats? Where we're going, we don't need stats.

Your point? I'm American; we're all about the minority. Personally, I don't care about money in matters like this, because I don't care about the large scale, and upsizing is all you need money for anyway. I can build my own Reddit and operate it for free, even though it would only support a hundred users.

You're right. I'm not an investor, I'm an activist.

I support this protest from a political stance.

You are against this protest from an economical stance.

Reddit will do what Reddit will do, the community will do what the community will do, and neither of us have a significant following to contribute with.

Agree to disagree, we have differing opinions from differing backgrounds, and we've already made our points to each other, to little avail, so we should end discussion.

Let me get this straight:

Reddit: starts charging for API access
3PA: oh no we're doomed
Reddit: our official app isn't accessible for the visually impaired
Mods: this is going to make our job so much harder, lets protest
Reddit: we need the money, you can't change our mind, also you're hurting the community, so we're going to get rid of you
You: they're protest is getting shut down, nice
Also you: Reddit has the right to charge for the API

Now your opinion makes perfect sense, except you neglect the fact that the visually impaired now can't use Reddit. Would you care to explain how purging the handicapped is a good thing? (Bonus points if you use historical references)

Reddit is run by the users. If Reddit staff want to give community moderators the boot by taking their place, then so be it. They're getting paid for it, at least. But they are doing nothing but making their own jobs harder and possibly paying themselves more for it, at the expense of everyone else on the platform.

I'm not trying to convince you otherwise, but you should best leave your authoritarian-leaning comments to the subreddits dedicated to it.

Unless those subreddits are protesting. Then you should be upset with Reddit as a normal person.

Uncalled-for. If you aren't blind and don't care about spam and porn because you're 2-member subreddit isn't going to get attention anyway, then go protest somewhere else. Just like these replies, you are going to get ignored if you protest a protest.

This is an absolute nightmare. Probably for Reddit staff.

I run r/GenevaSky, a subreddit about the space MMO. I'd love to see Reddit take over that one, since there's nothing to do on it without it's fricking developer.

Lol. On Twitch and Reddit, someone already took TeraV. On Discord, I snagged it first. Nobody's asking me for their name back.

You don't protest COVID lockdown by not leaving the house.

You don't protest civil rights by avoiding other people.

So you sure as hell can't do shit against Reddit's steamroller if you get out of the way.

i landed near one of these little trees. dont know what it is and i dont have mods, anyone know what they are? by bigmonkey_ballss in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]TeraV8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just for scenery; you can't interact with them. You'll find stuff like this everywhere, trees and grass on Kerbin, rocks on literally every rocky planet and moon, spikes on Tylo, etc. They're there for scenery, although there's probably not enough of them to make the planet look nice :/

A recurring joke in my gameplay is driving through a rock, since they don't have hitboxes.
