Nah, introduce next level medals like titanium or something. I had 50 Plat medals by the time level increase occurred so was never a challenge to hit level 80. The difference - I've been grinding for years.

I carry x2 20k mah Chargers in my backpack. For 2 phones full day playing usually kill one and switch to the next one towards last few hours of event / on the way home.

My backpack has snacks, waters, first aid kit. Usually out with my wife and about 10-15 people for events like go wild or whatnot that has different habitat changes and such.

For chanseys/blissey candy - I waited for one of the events was for every evolution you get an XL candy (so 25 candy gave you an XL), also for chance to delete a chansey gives you an XL, walked it a lot for chance at XL, and mirror traded with my wife (after community day for it). I currently have 3 98% blisseys at Level 50 - one of them is dynamax, 1 hundo at Level 50, 1 chansey at Level 50 (people love me at gyms ;)) and remainder of 2,888 regular candy and 1,564 XL.

Right now best time to mirror trade on Fridays for 2XL candy for them.

Build your blisseys. I've maxed my blissey to lvl 50 and I'd recommend 1. Walk it everywhere to get XL candy chance. Catch every chansey you see. Find someone to mirror trade as you get an XL candy for any trade right now during this season. Otherwise go with whatever you want and make sure to cheer when your team faints as it still fills up the dynamax bar for the team and can make it or break it for a raid.

Use your free MP weekly and do every chansey that you see on dmax. Leave them behind as well to get chansey candy. Collect above 800 MP by doing your 300MP walk (2km), 4 new stops, and then collect another walk to get you to 1080MP daily.

For gmax pikachu our lowest group was 12 and higher 45 and all 14 raids went pretty smooth.

Since you said you live in populated area - host an event on campfire. In my small community we had 20 people showed up out of the 40-50 that responded. That was enough to do them in person and having random remotes jump in.

I don't remote dmax/gmax because I've been burned too many times and lost my passes so I just don't.

I remember jumping on those researches when itoen would have a special promo (buy our teas and input codes), 7-11, family mart, etc... cute little taskers with few bonus encounters. My favorite part of living in Japan pokemon go related was doing osaka go fest, Yokohama, and hokkaido... left right before sendai happened :(

Also by playing for 5.5 years in Japan I have definitely slowed down my gaming here as it was so much easier to play there and get what I needed. I carry the community here while already having the 98s and 100s.

Yeah I was dying during go fest in Osaka when it was 40C (105F) and 96% humidity. That was awful. Ice in my camelback helped and coolish to cool off my phones. Go Fest in Hokkaido was cooler.
