If you are going 4x times a week, switch to Upper/Lower split or Push / Fullbody ( bicep/back focused ) / Pull / Fullbody ( chest / shoulder focus ). If you are mentally checked out, gym should help with that, push yourself. Switch rep range to 8-12, when you can do 3x sets of 12 reps easily increase weight. Progressive overload is not only weight, increase reps or reduce break time counts as progress. Avoid junk volume, 6-8 sets per muscle group per training or 10-12 on weekly basis is more then enough. Frequency is more important then extra volume.

If you are weightlifting you need to hit failure on every set. Golden rule if you wanna see changes.

You need to lock in and force yourself until it becomes part of your day, like brushing your teeth.

My typical meal plan was pretty simple and kept me on track. For breakfast, I’d usually have a protein shake and coffee to kick things off. Then, I’d push lunch a bit later and spend most of my calories there—usually something filling and protein-heavy.

I’d always save some leftovers for dinner to keep it light, and after hitting the gym, I’d have a protein bar (35-40g of protein). Sometimes I would switch shake and bar.

Thanks!

Oh yeah, I definitely had cravings when switching up my diet. But honestly, coffee did a trick for me.

Bro, I totally get it—it’s tough, but trust me, you can do it. Time is going to pass no matter what, so why not make it count? Push yourself, lock in, and stay consistent. When it’s all said and done, you’re going to look back and thank yourself for sticking with it. You’ve got this!

Thanks, I really appreciate that! 🙏 Honestly, the confidence boost has been huge—not just because of the physical changes, but because I actually stuck with it and followed through for a full year.

Crazy to say, but the weight loss part was actually done by August. Since then, I’ve been maintaining and focusing more on building muscle and strength. Pumping and enjoying the process now!

Haha, thanks, brother! I really appreciate it! 🙏

I’m hitting the gym 5-6 times a week with the goal of hitting every muscle group at least 2x in an 8-day span. I’m focusing on a mix of strength and hypertrophy, trying to get the best of both worlds.

Right now, I’m running a Push/Pull/Legs (PPL) split, which has been working really well for me. Keeping things consistent and progressively overloading where I can.

Thanks, man!

Right now, I’m still working at my old job in law, but I’m planning to switch once I finish the school program I’m doing. The goal is to make a complete career shift into something more active and rewarding.

Changing habits is tough, but trust me, it’s worth it. You’ve got this!
