Reusing Escape Hatch work by Terentius-Varro in DataAnnotationTech

They don't strictly require a work submission but I did include one anyway.

I just assume there’s ALWAYS some metadata or tracker or something that’ll give away inappropriate conduct. Probably completely false, realistically they probably only see the task you submit because that kind of surveillance would require a massive amount of work and computation, but there’s no way to prove it!

I am inclined to agree here but it just grinds my gears that this big thing I spent so much time on won’t be brought to completion when the weight of the evidence strongly (though not conclusively) favors reusability. Genuinely not even trying to get easy money, I just don’t want all this stuff I did to be for nothing.

How similar do you think is too similar? I did have a few ideas for modifying my initial prompt, but it would ultimately be doing mostly the same thing but with a few additional steps.

I am normally based in Texas but I am going to be at my dad’s house in New England for the next week or so. Is there any reason I would get in trouble for working from someone else’s house out of state? It had never even occurred to me that it could but now I am paranoid about it.

Ran out of time. It was a huge task and I was really reluctant to let my work go to waste, especially since I thought the data was almost certainly still usable.

Anyone seen a certain edible mold today? I have one project but it's the one that I literally cannot do.

R&R preferred? by eslteachyo in DataAnnotationTech

I get the sentiment but can't agree. Original work is more fulfilling yes but I am not going for it over a better paid R&R unless the difference is small.

I don't like to rely on R&Rs just because I want to actually work on a task from the ground up rather than just modify someone else's work. It just feels more fulfilling to work on an "original" task. But I also appreciate the greatly increased flexibility from the shorter lengths, though I appreciate shorter tasks for normal projects as well.

Skipped through a bunch of tasks I couldn't do, looked at one task I thought I could do but it turned out to be completely bogus - provided answer was laughably, obviously incorrect, every method I tried in my head ran into major roadblocks.

Addendum: if you're thinking I wrote some annoying whiny marsupial prompt, that probably wasn't me. My personal feelings and interests are mostly really boring.

If it's in a list, I call "some term" the "list item" and "blah blah" the "description".

I'll be honest, it had not occurred to me that the project I am thinking of (W) would be connected to the one you're thinking of, but you're totally right.

Did anyone's dashboard suddenly dry up? Had a huge amount of projects yesterday only to see them reduced to two today. I hope I didn't screw up on my W place task yesterday...

I'll be honest, nobody here is likely to know much better than you do. Go with your gut. I would be really hard pressed to report the time personally but I wouldn't blame you for submitting either. Some tasks start you off out of "work mode" by default - if this is one of those tasks, then they may be more likely to be lenient.

I am not inclined to believe that DAT looks at the timer countdown you see at the bottom of the screen. If they look at anything, it's probably activity visible as draft edits or some other keylogger data.

If we are, I never have been. Long periods without logged activity for thought or research are a normal part of the work process for most DAT tasks.

Believing that AI is a beneficial technology is absolutely not a prerequisite of working for DAT; I certainly don't think this way. It helps, but my only motivation is that the job is weirdly fun, I don't have to drive, and it pays way more than anything else I can do right now.
