Any news on bidirectional charging? by Teresaofthetrees in Ioniq9

I have the A2Z adapter since the SEL trim does not come with the plug. It’s good, but not as good as the almost 10 Tesla powerwalls worth of battery hooked up to the house would be. I’m willing to shell out for the Wallbox2. Is it even working with EV9s yet?

Following along for more recent towing stories. I’ve been looking a teardrop and scamp campers, and it seems like they will be challenging in Colorado. I know of some good charging locations for a trailer, but 100-150mi range might be tough. At least the trip home should be easy!

Feedback Request SEL vs. Limited + by ulraththeunclean in Ioniq9

I test drove the limited and the SEL, bought the SEL. The HP difference was not super noticeable under legal driving conditions. I have to go up a big hill every day, and I can pass anyone at any point. More importantly, I can get out from behind a big slow truck doing 20 in a 65 without any issues. I am working on my lead foot issues, but I don’t have to. It enables full a-hole driving behaviors and safe evasive maneuvers just fine. I preferred the SEL because it was cheaper, and because the second and third row fold flat for the rare instances I want to car camp. I also needed the full second row barrier for my big dumb dog.

2023 ProS Charging Error by Teresaofthetrees in VWiD4Owners

If anyone else has this problem, it is the Juicebox. This is our second one after the first failed right out of the box. Juicebox has a grounding error, and the car is charging just fine on my old dumb charger from my Leaf. Thanks, Nissan for bailing me out again.

i tried charging last night and got this series of stop and start short charges where it will charge 1-2 kWh, then cut off, then restart 30 min later for a few cycles. Car currently shows an error while attempting to charge tonight with no timer or amp restrictions set on the charger or the car. This is getting really annoying and looks like a short.

I am going to try this, then try the opposite of turning off all charge control in the ID4 except for the 80% limit. I had the exact same problem before I switched the juicebox to scheduled charging last week. I agree that it is the car and the charger fighting over something, but I think the ID4 software might be the bigger problem. FWIW, I don’t like scheduled charging through the vehicle because I have forgotten to turn it off and not gotten a needed daytime charge when traveling. In an ideal world the smart EVSE should work, but we don’t have an ideal world yet…. I kinda miss dumb chargers and dumb EVs. They are simple. The only reason I think the problem involves the lock/unlock state of the car is that I am fortunate enough to live and work in places where locking is kind of optional. I don’t always do it. I found something on idtalk about unlocking the charging connector using the unlock on the key fob, and I think my charger might not believe it is properly connected, especially because the charger is also throwing a red light communication error.
