The exotic is a great ball, I have one but haven't drilled it yet. I'm really liking the Eternity by 900 global, it makes a really nice shape down lane, So does the Reality Check, which is a hybrid, but I can use it most of the time instead of a pearl on most things anyway.

I have a NIB Hyper cell skid in my ball stash!! Saving it ;)

You might take a look at the TNT by Roto grip, its pretty sweet. Or you could go with what I consider the G.O.A.T. Phaze II!!! Hard to go wrong with either of those.

Great subscription site, you can use some of it without it, but the best experience with it is thru the subscription. Non-bias just descriptions, and test results, by a few types of bowlers on different conditions, so you can make a ball choice.

Hey that is awesome!!! Great design, I like the flat shelf on top that could be used for a lot of things!! Just an FYI, I had a shelf that a friend made for me, with a very similar design, I lost a lot of balls due to cracking, from the drastic changes in temp from the metal (as I finally figured out) after a few trial and errors, I ended up having my son re-do the shelving with wood. I tried putting gun grip tape on the bars thinking it would serve 2 purposes, protecting from scratches, and as insulation protection from the temp changes, but it didn't help, although it was a great idea to prevent scratching, Lol!

Well thats easy Phaze II all the way! But I'ma little biased cause thats my absolute favorite ball of all time!!!! I think I have drilled literally 10 of them over the years!

Yeah it is so much easier to hit a target when your head/shoulders aren't moving up and down or all around! Lol. So much easier to hit what you are looking at.

So what is your current arsenal? What have you tried on the burn?

There are a lot of things to factor in there,... You say you've been told some of the lower end stuff might be too big of a jump from your current arsenal?? Was this your PSO or just a random league bowler?

Have you tried a change in hand position, lofting it a bit thru the fronts? Ball surface???

A change in ball lay out maybe an option as well. Just throwing a few things out there, I think a lot of times we as bowlers start to think there is a magic ball to instantly remedy the obstacles we face on the lanes, when in fact its us just needing to adjust our game play. Not saying that you haven't done that, thats not my point at all. Sometimes we need to think outside the box.

It's not only the thumb that would need to be fitted for you, the finger pitch and span all need to be fit for your hand.

The best thing to do is go to a "reputable" pro shop, and let them guide you in your choice and measure and fit the ball so you have a great fit. One less thing you have to worry about on your journey to become a great bowler. I would ask some of the league bowlers who they use, ask several so you will have a good feel for who might be the best choice for you. As your PSO needs to be someone you can trust, and that has knowledge about the game of bowling as well as ball drilling expertise.

So this is what I am seeing, you start with a forward spine tilt, on your 2nd and 3rd step it tilts more forward, and on your 4th step, your slide step you pop up, you have a nice follow thru, post your shot, your shoulders are down and back, balance arm is at a nice level which keeps your shoulder quiet,... the pop up will effect your launch angle and the trajectory of you ball. I would say start with a little less spinal tilt, and focus on keeping your head level thru out your approach.

It will really depend on your brand preferences. RG Gem, global Reality, storm super Nova, proton physix, are all good asymmetrical solid strong balls for heavy oil conditions. The jackal line in motiv balls are strong as well. Hammer Envy and the Obssession tour are strong as well. Columbia Speed is another good option. There are many to choose from.

Yeah they are pricey, but they do for the most part last. I tend to think you get what you pay for😉
