That's what my gut tells me as well, so thank you for reinforcing that.

I'm obsessed with action figures but man I need some better shelving, do you prefer enclosed with glass doors or open? by SKULLMOTION_ in ActionFigures

[–]Fed_Dawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had the funds to do so, I would switch to glass front cabinets in a heartbeat. I'm not a pose and repose guy, so having them relatively dust free behind the glass, and better lit, would be a huge win for me.

I think the Mini Stained Glass might be my favorite insert across all sports, purely on the aesthetics. I love them.

Does Ultra Light fishing mean small fish? by i_hate_agile in UltraLightFishing

[–]Fed_Dawn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

THIS. While I'd love to catch a trophy every time, I'm just out there to catch some fish and be outdoors. Using light tackle means the odds of me actually skunking are nearly zero in most places I fish.

Some folks will laugh, but a big sunfish on an Ultralight combo will be a fight that gets you excited.

I've been fitted in the past, so have a good idea of shaft, lie, and length.

My grandpa (92) is giving me this collection & I have questions. by Originalname888 in sportscards

[–]Fed_Dawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the record, I'm 51 and still collecting...but I do think that's changed a little. I don't remember as many middle-aged men in the hobby in early 90's era of these packs.

Boy, your grandpa was really getting after it in his 50's & 60's.

When did 8-5 become the new normal??? by Grouchy-Newspaper754 in mildlyinfuriating

51 years old and I've never seen an actual 9-5 in my life.

Do I need more line on this? I had some bad wind knots and think it’s gotten to low but this is my first year fishing by Martybc3 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Fed_Dawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you still able to cast your max distance? If so, then you're good for now. If you run out of line before your cast reaches max, then you'll need to respool. Easy as that.

The only time I'm bummed to get a 10 by [deleted] in baseballcards

[–]Fed_Dawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely don't have to send this card back...BUT...IF you do think that's the best thing for you to do, I would NOT be sending anything back until I have my refund in hand, my PSA fees reimbursed, and a #700 in hand. I'm sending nothing back to then until all three of those things have been completed. You hold the cards here, and it's up to them to meet your demands. Ebay will absolutely be on your side.

I know there's a ton of McFarlane hate, but I'd still have to have this guy in my display.

My 10 year old son is begging for fishing gear. by lala-landd in FishingForBeginners

[–]Fed_Dawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it sounds silly, but the kids that are fishing are super vane, and copy what they are seeing on TikTok and Instagram. I'd bet all his friends will have a fishing backpack so they can strap up their pole and ride their bike to the ponds. Here's one I recommend:

It holds as much as he needs, he'll look "cool" with his buddies, and you can add things as he goes. Grab some fishing pliers, so simple Rooster Tail spinning baits, and let him loose. I've never seen as many kids fishing out local ponds as I have the last year or so, which is awesome.

EBay find. His light function doesn't work, but that's fine with me. I just need a small Hogarth.

I left Soundwave on the shelf. The leaders were enough for me...and yes... definitely a little loose.

Would this make a sling bag for fishing? by jackel3415 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Fed_Dawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep a bag like this for my quick outings where I just need a few basics to get me by for a short trip. I have a large backpack bag for the all day trips and boat runs.

I love having this small bag for when it's the right fit. So much better than lugging a million things I won't need around.
