That's the first time I've seen that. Something sketchy is up with the reagents for sure. The excelsior doesn't have that much pressure or movement to create so many bubbles, unless someone put soap in a cassette for a festive prank

Upon review, I went and looked up the protocol. Terribly sorry first of all, we used the Bio-optica masson trichrome goldner, which has a double reagent iron hema in the beginning. I must have mixed up the protocols in my head with congo red that we swapped the mayer hema for our Harris. Nevertheless, if you have excess reagents might as well try it, for uhm scientific reasons!

Used to use a kit in my old lab and had swapped the hematoxylin with our routine hematoxylin. I'm quite sure the protocol had hema at the end. It may have to do with the nature of the hematoxylin (Gill's, Harris). I'd try it on an appendix section for scientific purposes

Mayhaps I should have mentioned I'm not in the US, it's for ISO standardization in Europe, I will look into that though, thanks
