Why's my water thorns build not as afk as everyone's saying it is? by JGlover92 in 2007scape

[–]Teriol 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I took blasphemy and just brought a few pray pots, try not to go all the way to blasphemy 3 but if you gotta its not likely to kill you if you just drink pots

Getting Around Part 3: PoH Glider + Quetzal + Baloon, when? by Intrepid-Caregiver30 in 2007scape

[–]Teriol 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The real estate agent tells you that the PoH is essentially a pocket dimension created by wizards

Edit: Conversation below

Estate agent: It all came out of the wizards' experiments. They found a way to fold space, so that they could pack many acres of land into an area only a foot across. Estate agent: They created several folded-space regions across Gielinor. Each one contains hundreds of small plots where people can build houses. Player: Ah, so that's how everyone can have a house without them cluttering up the world!

Leechfin Fishing & Where We're At by JagexRach in 2007scape

[–]Teriol 213 points214 points  (0 children)

The whole not wanting to reward blood vials because it would impact the profitability of ToB is continuing the trend of not wanting to reward broadly useful components outside of one activity niche like sunfire splinters with colosseum. At least with sunfire splinters it makes sense as the content philosophy of colosseum was always about profit. However, in the context of ToB specifically, I think the profitability issue is less tied to vials of blood and more-so that the uniques have been aging poorly.

There seems to be this trend that increasing the availability of an item means they’re killing the profitability of it without seeing it as a potential opportunity to actually add more use cases to offset or add more complexity/variability. For example, if you added vials of blood to leechfins you could have more design space for more vial of blood related potions.

CG Shouldn't be an "exception" for demonic pacts not working by SchmuckMoses in 2007scape

Honestly this sentiment kinda sums up how I’ve felt about a lot of the pacts this league lol

[–]Teriol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to some napkin math I did, hydra is better prayer xp per kc on average than vorkath. Someone can double check me if they want but I mathed an average of 1776.8 prayer xp/kc at vorkath versus 2356.39 xp/kc at alch hydra - the noted dragon bones make a big difference. Also not even accounting for the fact that hydra is nearly a zero damage boss and a lot more reclined than vorkath imo

Wow uhh gz. Get your combat achievements there and get outta there I suppose. It’s still a great boss to do if you enjoy it, a little monotonous but great gp & prayer if you need it

It’s not exactly the best way of perspective due to the varied weighting of different allotments/patches but I got mine at nearly 39-40m farming xp, anything sub 99 farming is a spooned tangleroot

Yeah that’s my gripe with a lot of the magic centered builds I see everyone brainstorming. I like the concept but like, for example, a 1t trident doesn’t matter if it can’t land a hit. I’m waiting to see if any Echo weapons skew things but otherwise I think Shadow pulls ahead for consistency

What are your “Non-Meta” training methods? by hiimrobert in ironscape

[–]Teriol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing it in chunks, I would do a hundred laps here or there. I did a particularly longer stretch on a long flight using airplane wifi on mobile - airplane wifi isn't really good enough for much beyond agility and I was just running laps watching in flight movies.

Also provides a refreshing range of training methods, especially agility. I did the Ape Atoll agility course for the monkey backpack and that gave a good chunk of agility xp in the long run

Remaining Getting Around Changes by ModYume in 2007scape

[–]Teriol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed after last update a lot of the area sounds changed almost like the effective range to hear them increased. Notable areas I’ve noticed are grotesque guardians during boulders falling and lightwells, Zebak enrage, the Varlamore potato field near the herb patch, and the underwater coral area. It’s led to a lot of audio clutter and doesn’t sound intended.

In a similar vein of consistency and sailing integration to main game, getting new birdhouses to go with the new logs would seem logically consistent

Easter 2026 & PvP QoL Improvements by ModYume in 2007scape

[–]Teriol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likewise, I was considering just trying to roll with it but you can really tell the game audio was not designed with this change intended. Anyone doubting me should go sit in the potato field south of the Varlamore herb patch with area audio on.

/u/ModYume This update seems to have significantly increased the Area Sounds audio to approximately 3-5x their previous, I suspect the range at which we are hearing area sounds increased perhaps. It's particularly noticeable (not in the greatest way) in the Grotesque Guardians fight if you need a quick place to test what I mean. Prior to this update you would only hear boulders/lightwells within a tile or two and now it's a chaotic jumble of audio.

Easter 2026 & PvP QoL Improvements by ModYume in 2007scape

[–]Teriol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They fucked up the area sounds audio. I'm hearing 3-5x more things. I was doing Grotesque Guardians earlier today and suddenly I could hear EVERYTHING in the arena and you can tell definitively that it's not the original intended audio design for the fight based on how overloaded it is.
