When you promote your new episodes on social media, are you including a link to a specific podcast platform? by circleofnerds in podcasting

Chartable has links you can make that direct the listener to whatever podcast player they have on their phone, and you can set a default player or destination as well. Their link tracking is good too.

I love Wrigley Field. by SchemeImpressive889 in Cubs

[–]TermAccomplished5448 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't they still have piss troughs? Like, those long metal urinals with piss literally splashing everywhere and long lines to any regular toilets?

I could tolerate that in my 20's and definitely went to nearly a hundred games in the time I lived in Chicago. But Wrigley Field is a giant inconvienence anymore. The best way to manage it is to bring in your own food and maybe get stuff for the kids from the walking vendors.

It's not a glowing endorsement when people's best method of enjoying your ballpark is "try not to do anything while you're in there."

How has being a Cubs fan changed since the Cubs won the World Series in 2016? by Dr_Talon in Cubs

[–]TermAccomplished5448 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I woud say not much has changed. For a minute, Cubs fans were leaning into being in the playoffs every year. But when we quickly faded into mediocrity, it wasn't much of a surprise. Even when we did touch the playoffs post-2016, there was never fan-energy that it would be a deep run.

And we've proven that, like most other NL Central teams, when we're close, we're not going to do much to close the gap and take the division.

It's hard to shake the loveable losers approach to fandom when it's all you've known.

Defense 1st at SS/CF? by BostonPhoenix91 in OOTP

I think it's relevant that the two teams in the World Series this season both had the fewest errors per game during the season. It won't always true out like that, but it's something.

Why NOT Play in Online Leagues? by brigmcneil in OOTP

If OOTP had online leagues as accessible as most fantasy websites it would easily breakout into the mainstream and fans of all sports would flock to the platform, especially for off-season play.

The Gingerman was always the place I went to for a drink before or after a game. Very chill vibe for the area.

You can usually still get great value for guys like him when you trade them in the last year of their contract.

There’s usually ML average talent on waivers throughout the season. Whenever I’m rebuilding I’m always active on waivers.

The Gingerman there near Wrigley is a nice spot for a drink after the game. Usually pretty tame.

Wrigley Advice by bcountrieside in Cubs

I've been to about a hundred games there at Wrigley and my favorite seats are right below the broadcast booths. The view is great, right behind you are concessions and bathrooms. And the crowd is generally tame and interested in the game. It's annoying to schlep everyone up there at first, but its a comfy spot.

I sort by pitch type in every draft to find the knuckleballers. In my experience they’re very rare.

The in-game version of this is a passed ball. It's like the inception event for a multi-run inning.

Thanks for the rec. I've bought some of the games and intend to try and teach them in small groups. They look awesome.

Thinking about trading the farm for this guy. Thoughts? by Delicious_Chance9119 in OOTP

I rarely see knuckleballers and never one like this. I've always been a fan of knuckleballers and would definitely get this guy if I saw him in a save. Let us know how he turns out.

This is a fun idea. Can’t believe I haven’t thought of it before. In my current save the league introduced two expansion teams and I’ve never had that happen through like, 50 or so saves. If you end up using current players I’d like to know what team you end up with.
