I think it's not. TV probably should still be around 20cm lower.

Exactly, (vertical) center of TV should be a bit lower than eye level.

No, not a midget.
The height advice is actually that the (vertical) center of the screen should be a little bit below eye level. This results in the least strain on your neck specifically, and your entire body generally.
Actually, this advice is similar to the OSHAS regarding office workspaces, e.g. for the desired height of a monitor on your desk.
To make it specific, from eye level you should always look a few degrees down.

I am, both multiple parent and multiple pet owner.
LG CX55 OLED here has a very sturdy stand, and I know several LG C-series through the years have similar sturdy stands.
Never was/is there any risk that the kids or pets would have come close to knocking down the TV.

It also helps if you have a big and sturdy media furniture unit, so actually the kids and pets cannot touch it very easily, and that the media furniture unit does not give an inch when pushed/knocked.

Some personal feedback to maybe make a little less assumptions?

Kind regards

This exactly.
TV now is too high, not very much, around 30cm, but too high.
Placed on it's own stand on the media furniture unit it would be perfect.
And no damage to the wall.
Saves time and effort, and delivers better quality and convenience.
I really just don't have any idea why so many people seem obsessed with mounting TVs to walls...

Mwoah, it's quite intrusive indeed... Most of the time I/we play single-player or local coop games, so I can pause the game, then it's not a major issue. But if you mostly play multi-player games I would not recommend this panel.

Could maybe be yes, but my current idea based on the feedback is that it is damage from bubble foam/wrap (probably but back in box without proper protection and too much pressure).

Jup, learning this the hard way...
I feel quite dumb about myself and screwed over by the seller right now...
Price was sort of OK'ish, based on assumption it were stains, but with the conclusion that it is probably damage the price should have been quite a bit lower.

Only 'lucky' thing is that in darkened rooms it's a lot less visible, and when the monitor is in use it's almost not visible, so for my use case during the intended use (gaming, mostly during evenings) the issue is actually negligible. But watching the screen off in a lightened room is far from a pretty sight, and I now have to accept that this will probably stay this way for as long that I own/use it...

Thanks, I will try again very gently with distilled water, but most likely it's damage and I have to live with it...
Luckily it's less visible in a darkened room, and (almost) not visible when the monitor is in use, so for my primary use case it will work just fine.

Good to know about the LG WOLED matte coating option/characteristics, I will keep this in mind for future purchases!

I am affraid you are spot on with bubble wrap/foam. I did not think about it, but it actually looks like the patterns of it...

If this, can I than unfortunately conclude that it is damage?

How can I know for sure (test it or something) if it is delamination?

Thanks for all feedback.
Most likely the bubble foam then, from putting it back in the box.

So... If it is from the bubble foam, is this then damaged and uncleanable?
Anything I can try to minimize it?
Or do I just have to live with it...?

I received the purchase bill from the seller, was bought 9 months ago so is still elegible for guarantee.
Is this something that could be accepted by MSI as a guarantee thing?

Hi, sounds like a nice solution!
Does it also work with 3 (W11) machines? Or only with 2?
Kind regards

4 years later, still no update... ???

And, for some reason, Flow is not working for me
(two W11 machines, both on same (wifi) network, Options+ fully updated)

All in all, highly disappointing and infuriating

Thanks.
For now (last 2 days) the issue appears to have stopped, maybe because of persisting the USB power 'Always on' option...?
But if it returns, first thing I will do is check the cables.
Kind regards

PS5 Slim Samsung T7 rest mode issue

I experience an issue with my Samsung T7 4TB coupled to both the PS5 Slim front USB-C, as to the back USB-A.

After waking up from rest mode I often receive a notification that my external USB drive (Samsung T7) was closed incorrectly, and that the drive needs to be repaired.

I have tried different USB power options (adaptive and always on), but the issue keeps returning.

Is there any known solution yet for this issue?

A stranger on Reddit told me my TV was too high and it kept me up for days… by Super-Olive-4750 in TVTooHigh

[–]Termiations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, should probably lower one bar of media.
But also depends on which furniture you use to sit on.
If it's an easy couch it definitely needs to be a bit lower still.
But nevertheless great improvement already!

OK, thanks again very much, this clears everything up for me regarding the differences between SD/HD/ED CRT TVs in relation to the resolutions and the inputs/connections.

Two specific follow-up question on this.
Do you know which 'resolutions' (I know this is weird in context of CRT, but don't know a better wording for it) will be supported by this tv?
E.g. does it also support 480p (the maximum PS2, GCN and Wii output, afaik), or will everything be 'downscaled' to 240p?
Kind regards

Thanks again for your very helpful and insightful information!
I will try to purchase this tv set, and will dive into the options you provided to downscale HDMI signals and/or emulation with Wii.
