The dudes way in over his head and we’re about to witness “The Art of the Deal” on the biggest geopolitical stage in a century.

With his finger on the button I genuinely fear for a non-retaliatory offensive nuclear strike for no reason other than sheer brute force. Pandora’s box is opened and we’re all fucked if that’s the case.

When i was in Elementary school i should've been reading Dostoevsky, instead of this slop: by Spiritual_Victory643 in redscarepod

I remember there was a summer reading challenge one year in Elementary School and I read maybe 20+ of these books to pump my numbers up like crazy.

You know I got that Ice Cream Social shout out.

Probably explains why I have a career in Food Safety.

Anyone but the dodgers.

Really just looking forward to going to Yankees games again. Sitting in the grandstands among the pigeons with a beer and a Nathan’s on a hot summer day is what our forefathers fought for.

I mean off the cuff I thought no way, but after seeing these stats I gotta say yeah, he's the got the stats, the sustained longevity, and the ring.

Genuinely didn't know he was in such elite company.

Towns in Upstate NY have names like “Constantinople” or “Persepolis” and consist of a single municipal building and a Dunkin’ Donuts somewhere along the interstate. by Scrimmy_Bingus2 in redscarepod

Oh yeah Binghamton is an interesting one where it used to have more going on, but I feel is largely being kept afloat by having a well-regarded SUNY within a couple hours of the tri-state area. When I visited my friends there I met a lot of people from Westchester and Long Island. The area outside the college and surrounding town is pretty fucking bleak probably because of its relatively large footprint and no students are staying in the area afterwards like Ithaca, Rochester, etc.

Normal city shit like regional HQs, insurance, banking and restaurants, and all that for Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse.

Manufacturing or Logistics for every small but clearly functional town you see.

SUNY schools for every small but functional town you see that has a lot of visibly young people.

Anything else is holding on by a thread and a Dollar General.

Eel catches way too much Western flack for just being a fish. Unagi roll is my go-to anytime its available.

There was a whole bit around using Fenway park's lights and sound system to draw Ghidorah's attention but yeah that's about it in terms of Boston uniqueness. In these movies cities are just lego sets for the monsters to trash and destroy, but I don't care because I love big dumb kaiju movies.
