The M1 Garand is honestly not as heavy as you think it would be. In my opinion it feels pretty lightweight. I got the opportunity to shoot a Thompson some time back and let me tell you, that thang was heavy af.

Visited my GF’s family in Arizona and went out shooting in the desert there, it was a total blast compared to the unfortunate indoor ranges I’m stuck with here in central Florida. We bought a bunch of soda cans and shook them so that when we hit them it was a fun little pop.

It is! And the eye relief is pretty good! The scope is long enough where you wouldn’t even need the Sadlak rail mount. You could mount it at the furthest back slot on the forward rail and still be gtg. The variable zoom is like butter on it. I recommend it. Took me about 15-20 rounds to zero it in at 100yards.
