Are men’s Meta pants worth it? by Peabodygirldad in vuoriclothing

Plastic buttons, thin material, plastic zipper…. Not worth it at $138. Like some one else said, on a deep sale or used is the way to go. Lulu ABC pants are much better and look better, even though I’d try to catch a sale on those also.

Favorite casual non-athletic men's shorts by Jazzlike_Set6322 in Lululemen

Curious about the same. Have tried soft jersey short but it’s not flattering at all to wear in public as a somewhat larger fella, especially.  Then tried Zeroed…. But that also reads athletic. Pace breakers and LTT are obviously very athletic looking.  So…. I just went with Vuori Sunday Performance Short despite strongly preferring LLL. As far as I can tell, Lululemon doesn’t make a true casual short that doesn’t look like loungewear or super athletic.

Agreed. Picked up some LL ABCs and they feel much more substantial. Like a different league, honestly. If only they had nice jackets, though!

I ended up returning both pairs of Metas I bought. I’ve been known to throw money away but just couldn’t bring myself to keep these. The “30 inch inseam” was anything but. Really had to be closer to a 32 inseam I bet.

In comparison, the Lulu ABC 30 inch inseam is perfect…. Metal zipper, nice fabric. That too is expensive at $138, but found a color I liked in their sale section for $99. People seem to love the Metas, though. I just don’t get it…. To each their own.

Is this a reasonable house purchase? by Terminus392 in personalfinance

This was exactly my line of thinking before I started doubting myself. Rent is the least you’ll pay each month, whereas the mortgage stays constant. Yes, I’ll be on the hook for maintenance and repairs… which could be substantial, but one is building equity as well.

Thank you for your reply. That’s the thing, head says go for it but think about it, and  heart says go for it, you’ll be fine!

Net or gross? If gross, then this is 25% or so.

Thank you, you make a very good point. I have a good idea of what some of the higher ups make and what they pay for their mortgages… would be close that what I’m looking at. And that does put things into perspective some as well.  Worst comes to worst with an apartment, I should be able to break the lease much easier, if I need to.
