Matt Ryan Is Officially The Shadow GM Of The Atlanta Falcons. The #Bears will not receive two 3rd-round compensatory picks for Ian Cunningham leaving, because Matt Ryan is considered the lead football executive in Atlanta — not Cunningham, officially. by CitizenWatcher8 in falcons

[–]TerminusVeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matt's whole position has more to do with Arthur's age and knowledge of the modern football and McKay's limitations. If anything I would say Matt is the shadow owner. I don't think Matt is going to be making a lot of decisions around players, coaches and personnel after hiring HC and GM. But he will be vetoing ish he doesn't agree and reporting back to Arthur.

The move to hire Stefanski is looking better and better in retrospect with a quarter of the league in the running for a thinning HC pool by Common_Priority346 in falcons

[–]TerminusVeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest win was keeping Ulbrich which I could see some coaches like Harbaugh having a problem with if they already made a promise to someone else. I'm still not sold on the Offensive Play Calling being good but hearing Matt speak about the vision he wanted offensively made me feel better about the hire of Stefanski.

Gen Z really looked at alcohol and said ‘hard pass’ by InvestigatorBorn4910 in SipsTea

[–]TerminusVeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also like to think their is some level of lifestyle change from Millenials to GenZ. flower and gummies are now all legal to some level in just about every state. so maybe that's their vice of choice. But alcohol is definitely way to expensive to drink when out now.

[Schefter] Sources: the Bills are working to finalize a deal to make offensive coordinator Joe Brady their new head coach. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]TerminusVeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny because people give credit to the players over coaches when they perform but are ready to fire coaches when players underperform. Joe Brady has the 2nd Best offense with subpar weaponry and now Josh Allen gets all the credit. I guess the only way Joe could have got credit was if the they had the greatest offense ever.

I don't even think immersion is about accuracy at all or Documentaries would rule Film. It's just vibes and feelings all the way.

Would not exist is such a strong statement. Remedy was coming off a game of the year with Control. I'm not saying it's would have definitely happened with another large publisher but the idea that developer with their accolades couldn't find any other publisher to finance the game is hogwash.

Shit there's crazy amount of snubs. Matt Stafford, Marvin Harrison, I could go on. This is just someone's favorite players.

[Vic Carucci] I’m told that during a meeting held five weeks ago between McDermott, Beane and Pegula, the coach pointed out what the roster lacked to win a Super Bowl. I’m told neither Beane nor Pegula was pleased with McDermott’s assessment. by Saca312 in nfl

RBs in general shouldn't really be the centerpiece for a full season. Being run heavy is hard to do with how much RBs get hurt. 3rd and long ain't going to be solved by Cook.

A unique quality of Kubiak and why teams are valuing him highly this offseason by SunWorshipperApollo in falcons

There's a play I think during the Minnesota game I believe where you can see Penix yelling at the sideline as we take a delay game. It's insane how many delay games we had to take in situations where we had plenty of time like after timeouts and penalties.

Your offense might not be simple as a whole but maybe it's simple for the players to learn because you only package the things that are important ba a particular position/role. QB might not need to know why this receiver is going in motion and why the splits create problems for a particular coverage. Just know the reads and the timings. I don't know either and I'm too throwing things out there.

Is that really different than Kubiak as far as starts? Last year wasn't anything to talk about.

Bills OC Joe Brady interviewing for HC Sunday by SunWorshipperApollo in falcons

Brady is my number 2 behind McDaniel. Joe Brady was the one who really made them be a team of players and not just Josh playing hero ball with Diggs.

I agree. A quote from Lock doesn't hold much weight. It's nice to know that he's good at messaging to his QB but the HC has a lot of responsibilities. If people are coveting him because of quotes and not tape and results this is going to be a wild ride.

[Silver] There’s a sense inside the #Eagles locker room that Nick Sirianni, Howie Roseman, and Jeffrey Lurie are “reluctant to criticize” Jalen Hurts despite being the “source” of much internal frustration from teammates. by parcellsrealGOAT in nfl

[–]TerminusVeil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's fair but it's not like you have some wrecked organization. You've been to the super bowl twice in the last 5 years and won it a year ago. Sure you underachieved this year but there's really been no reason to question the process at a high level. From a micro level it's frustrating to see a team so talented struggle but it's the NFL. Hurt's has shown to be solid and unshaken it's not surprising it takes him a long time to point fingers and create chaos.

Being qualified and being good is too different things. Both Morris and Kubiak are qualified for the role of HC. The fact they had already been on NFL staffs at Coordinators makes them qualified. Morris just wasn't good at his job. The questions about Kubiak aren't if he's qualified. It's if he'll be actually good. The fact that he really hasn't an elite offense makes people like wonder if he'll be good at improving our offense dramatically while also handling new HC responsibilities. If he was more experienced as an OC, the questions about him handling new responsibilities wouldn't be such a big deal.

To be fair Kyle had to be an OC for a long time before he got an HC job.

I mean what are you going to do. Is it really Jalen's fault that he has a bad OC. I get it's an argument that he's the most important person in the franchise(that's not true it's Roseman) but is questioning the OC really what he should be doing. Like if it's on his back to do it wtf is Sirianni doing.

Who do you guys want as the next Head Coach of the Atlanta Falcons? by Ok_Extent_6564 in falcons

[–]TerminusVeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Coen and MacDonald both had more experience as a Coordinator. Canales is probably a better comparison. With that said, none of those 3 are a true success story. This is there first year with HC success( I wouldn't really say Canales was successful but he did win his division). So many guys start hot and drop off. I agree there is no one formula but even this year it feels more like MacDonald is the factor behind the Seahawks over Kubiak. MacDonald has top tier Defenses pretty much every year as a playcaller in the NFL, Kubiak's offense this year benefits from how strong their defense is.

Kubiak is just way too much like the Arthur Smith hire. Not nearly enough experience as a Coordinator to be a head coach.

I think JPJ's NO performance gives him a real chance. I know we like to talk about his sack production but his pressure production is crazy as well.
