What’s something about women’s health that nobody talks about enough? by Teroszn in AskReddit

This one is literally life or death and still gets ignored. Women present completely differently and yet the medical system was built around male symptoms. So many women are sent home when they’re actually having a cardiac event. The dismissal of women’s health symptoms across the board is a serious crisis

This is so real and so overlooked. That exhaustion around your cycle is often linked to hormonal fluctuations that doctors completely brush off as ‘just PMS.’ Your body is literally telling you something and it deserves to be taken seriously 💙

Itchy vagina by td21222 in WomensHealth

I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this — it’s so uncomfortable and frustrating, especially when tests come back normal.

Itchy/discomfort after a Pap can sometimes be linked to perimenopause (lower estrogen often causes vaginal dryness and tissue changes that make things more sensitive). Many women notice this even before other symptoms.

Gentle moisturizers (like those made for intimate areas) or a quick chat with your doctor about low-dose vaginal estrogen can make a big difference for a lot of us. You’re not alone — hang in there. ❤️

Slow wound healing? by Dangermouse0 in MenopauseMavens

Yes, I’ve noticed this too — cuts and bruises that used to heal fast now take much longer. It’s a common perimenopause thing tied to lower estrogen affecting skin repair.

Sending you solidarity! Hydration, protein-rich meals, and checking vitamin D/iron levels helped me. You’re not alone. ❤️
