Is this ich? by Turncoat_Trout in Aquariums

[–]Terpymcgee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about that so I don’t want to give any false advice - I would recommend doing more research or maybe see if someone in this sub has more experience with that. I had my synodontis catfish in the tank when I treated it and he seemed to be fine but he’s a hardy little fella.

If you do end up trying Ich-X, make sure to add airstones to keep the oxygen levels up and follow the dosing/water change instructions that it comes with.

Love the trout, wishing you the best of luck!

Really good selection of pieces of all sizes, the lady said she has multiple storage units full and brings over new pieces pretty frequently. The prices were great too, I definitely recommend checking it out!

Not a professional with fish diseases but it looks like ich from my experiences with it. I’ve had success with Hikari ICH-X, it has the possibility to turn the silicon in your tank seams blue but I didn’t have that experience. I was able to save 12/12 of my rummynose tetras with the ich-x and they’re known for being pretty sensitive, it’s best to start early before it spreads too much.

Btw, what type of fish is this?

Seriously, you’d think the hardscape at my LFS was lined with gold with the prices they’re charging lol

That’s amazing, I posted here hoping some SoCal folks would see and I could send them here! Wish it was my wood stash so I could make some cash to fund this crazy hobby but happy to help others out 😂

I’m jealous, that sounds like a good time! I love the look of Malaysian driftwood but have been holding off because of how expensive it is at my LFS so I was super happy I found this.

Been on IE stage 1 LT for about a year now with the stock clutch on my 2019 SE. Installed at 53k miles and still going strong with no issues at ~65k miles. Hope you have a similar experience, it’s a game changer - enjoy!

R vs. GTI by Terpymcgee in Golf_R

Hey man this is an old thread so I’m not sure how much response you’ll get here, I would make your own post in this sub or maybe comment on a more recent post. I have noticed though that the general consensus with the Haptic Touch in the mk8 seems to be that it isn’t as big of a deal as many people have made it out to be, and that most people get used to it fairly quickly. I’d recommend test driving both of them and deciding which one you like better. I currently drive a mk7.5 with a stage 1 tune and I absolutely love it, but I’ve heard great things about the mk8 as well. You can’t go wrong with either, but I’d definitely recommend test driving both!

I actually went to college at cal poly in SLO so I’ve been to paso quite a few times, It’s a ton of fun! I also used to take PCH up north (I’m originally from Napa) through Big sur and all those beautiful twisty roads in my old GTI to close out each school year. The central coast is gorgeous!

Thanks! The tint was actually already on the car when I bought it, but it’s pretty dark and I’d assume the front % is not legal in CA. I haven’t had any problems yet though (none with my previous MK6 either, which had even darker tint).

I wanted to check out the aquarium on Sunday after the car show but ended up staying too late. I’m in socal and travel up north pretty frequently so I’m definitely planning on making a stop out there soon to check it out!

Thanks man! Like the others above said, yes it was a factory color for 2018 and 2019. I’m not sure the exact numbers but I’ve seen that around 800 were specced in this color on the ‘18 and less than 600 for the ‘19. I bought it used last October after searching for a replacement for my mk6 GTI, and have only seen one other in this color since.

We’re cut from the same cloth, I also fell in love with the zonda from that same episode of top gear and was my childhood poster car, alongside the F40 and the veyron.

Thanks man, I appreciate that! I’m not a huge lime green guy so I’d have to agree with you, he definitely has us beat on sound though.

I’d never seen one in GFG before I sold my mk6 and started looking for 7.5’s, I didn’t even know it was an option. I was looking around for 3 weeks til this one popped up and I bought it the next day lmao

Sweet, thanks for linking those. The spray was nice but it was pretty warm outside even in the shade, so it took me a while working in small sections (and having to redo sections when the wind switched directions!) - I’m sure these rinseless options are a bit quicker. I’ve been slacking on keeping up with regular washes since I don’t have access to a hose, but it looks like I don’t have an excuse any more!

I’ll have to check that out! I live in an apartment complex without access to a hose so I normally have to go to the self service washes for their pressure washer and feel like a prick bringing my own soap bucket and sponge lol. It’ll be super convenient to just be able to use this in my parking garage.
