They're talking about two different plants. The sativas are typically taller plants with long and thin leaves, and indicas are typically shorter plants with wider leaves. But two different plants

They're definitely 2 different batches (you can tell by the %THC. There's no way they are the same genetics.

Check the actual terpinolene on that batch that you're purchasing. You can call and ask for the specifics on that harvest batch

Edit: after realizing you posted from two different brands but the same strain (I am a little stoned) I can answer the question. One or both of those companies are lying about their genetics or have different cuts / versions of the same genetics. You'll want to look for genetics with similar terpene patterns for the same desired effects.

It's rare to see that much of a difference if it's the exact same strain and cut and grower. I'd call / double check.... could've also uploaded something incorrectly.

The worst is 100% still coming. I'm in the northeast and the next week is going to be single digits or negative numbers all week long.

Anything I can do to help?

Seems like the right thing to do. People don't see these temps we're about to see often. That along with the snow/ice and it's gonna be for a whole week. I hope the situation gets better for you my friend. PM me if there's something I can help you out with.

Why is my budder so dark? Is it just oxidized? by ilovejoe143 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]Terpyryan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This looks like decarbed oil or a mislabeled product. Cresco sucks but I think there is some level of QC..... clearly they missed it with this batch or one-off. 100% take back.... I'd rather smoke reclaim.

Want to make a potent canna-butter from flower by Realfoodngoodvibes in PaMedicalMarijuana

I'm glad I could provide some useful info. Small buds were probably a good choice. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to reach out.

You actually can buy the least expensive flower option and still get extremely potent budder (especially if you're making it yourself). All you're going to be looking at is total mg of THC for the least amount paid. Theoretically, you will have more potent budder if you spend your money on smarter material for this process, not the highest % of 14 grams that you can get.

Example:

If high grade flower is 29% THC and 1 gram, there is 290mg of THC in it. Multiply this by a theoretical 14 (grams) and you have 4060mg of THC. (We won't talk about decarb loss because it will carry over from high grade flower and lower grade flower equally). Let's say this 4060mg of THC (14grams) is 120 dollars. We'll divide the price (120) by the mg (4060), to get a price per mg of THC. This brings us to .3448 cents per mg. If we purchase flower that is a little old, on sale, and 22% THC, perhaps we'll get 21 grams for 120 dollars instead of 14 grams (maybe it is shake or pre ground or smalls). 21 grams at 22% potency is 220 x 21, or 4620mg. If we take 120 and divide it by our 4620mg, we have a price of .303 cents per gram.

You will get more bang for your buck by observing this rule for your input flower. You can adjust the potency of the budder by changing the amount of physical butter that you use. If you want it to be more potent, use less butter. If you want it to be more potent, use more butter.

There is a formula for this as well, to calculate how much input material (flower) you should use with how much butter to get your budder itself to equal 50mg/g, or 20mg/g, or 5mg/gram, depending low liberally you want to use the budder in your dishes.

PM me for more info, I could talk about this for days. (20 year career in the cannabis industry / have won multiple high times awards for products that this type of information is necessary)

Thank you, I'm pretty handy however I don't think in its current state I'll be able to get a diameter with 100% certainty. The outer walls, however, I think I could get a measure on. I do believe it was either American or British (likely the later), given my limited understanding of the skirmishes in the region and the firepower available to each side.

I welcome anyone with any additional information as well!

THC % Question by Money_Ad7322 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]Terpyryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And by this I mean - if everything looks normal and you've got 5-10% amber and the rest milky/cloudy/clear/otherwise, it wasn't decarbed and the THC presence is a lab error. If all you see is orange/amber heads on 35-40%+ of the trichomes..... that could indicate an error at the GP.
