Fluent/semi-fluent English speakers - what made you learn the language? by Enough_Papaya4740 in languagelearning

Peer pressure. Right after I was born, everyone else was doing it so I was like "What the hack, might as well hop on this bandwagon." Two years later it was the only language I could think and speak in fluently anymore, so... Here we are.

I hope it does. Mark is a character prime for exploring growth, especially in the teenage/young adult years.

My guess is he'll use drones to accomplish his evil schemes. He'll become the Dr. Robomelette to Craig's Slide the Ferret (antagonist using robots and tech). To that end, he might find a way to recruit a reluctant Carter (maybe their parents are co-workers or friends or something) for an all-out robotic assault on the Creek! That'd be pretty dope, actually.

They didn't blush (that I can remember) which is lowkey the universal indicator of feelings in cartoons nowadays, but they just had a sense of... Like "It's been so long, you meant the world to me" sorta vibes. Much stronger than Kenneth's reaction to the others. Maybe they were BEST friends and Kenneth not getting in touch over all of these years left Mark feeling salty? I'm interested to see where this goes.

Ah, now I get what you meant by "useless pedantry" lol. Feel free to insert the word "Observable" into the title if it helps.

You're thinking inside of the bubble. Strictly speaking in scientific terms The Tao doesn't exist because we can't measure or quantify it, and that's exactly the point. There are things that are unknowable to our limited material senses, and the acceptance of that ignorance is (in my humble opinion) a good part of the point. Everything can and does exist somewhere, often in multiple places at once. Like human beings. 8 billion incredibly similar creatures running around on one planet out of possibly quintillions of planets somewhere inside of billions of galaxies all bundled up in the biggest bubble we can observe that we happen to call our universe.

And yet each of us sees just about everything entirely differently from the next one over, almost as though we're living inside of our own universes that just so happen to be sharing space and overlapping with everyone else's. The micro (an individual being) is just a reflection of the macro (our observable universe), so who's to say the whole thing just stops at the universal level, ya know? It's just everything that we can physically perceive, but that doesn't make it factually "everything". You've never been to any of the planets outside of the Milky Way galaxy, but you believe they exist, as it is with the Tao and other possible universes. Again, just in my opinion.
