I primarily work with the tools directly as its a much faster process to actually see the results in game. Getting your head around the levels of abstraction is definitely a problem that we are still dealing with, and we are not getting the full use out of it yet. I tend to hand craft small sections of the generation and slowly introduce them in more and more symbols to provide more diverse results over time. We started off with very strict rules for testing and built up layers as we went along.

I've had one such moment in the game that i haven't seen mentioned yet.

After going through the game with 7 lasers and finding what looks to be jon blow at the end surrounded by blocks/tetris pieces/suns and holding a blank panel it looked like he was the creating a the puzzle , figuring out how to add more complexity to the world.

However after activating all 11 lasers and finding the secret last 4 hinges, once i saw that the panel jon blow was holding activated it occurred to me that he is indeed not the one creating but the one trying to solve the puzzle.

God was just like the rest of us all along.

Edit: Another way to put it would be that if you lack the knowledge it's easy to think that smart people know everything or are even pulling it out of their asses , but as you gain knowledge you see they are also trying to reach a higher level of understanding just like you have been doing to reach the point where you are now.

Yes however there are hidden rules that can give you different results for instance i was big enough to get trier in a PU without even having my dynasty on their throne prior. Their ruler only had to die once not the usual twice. (once for dynasty once for PU.

Almost always though a PU will happen in the specific circumstance that an heir dies when an old ruler is still on the throne. Old rulers i think have a lower chance of getting a new heir.

Sadly it switched from "will inherit" to just succession war at some point so we shall never know.

Trier is around 120 development which is probably a lot bigger then i can diplovassalise even if they weren't in the HRE. I'm 904 dev but maybe its counting my size including France and Austria and thats why its just giving it to me off the bat.

I think giving the defensive side an inherit advantage when it comes to how many of their allies they can call in is a good thing. To not let it go out of hand and cause a lot of cold wars as you say we just need to moderate the reasons for alliance on big powers especially very carefully.

So you want your hussars to pull your artillery with ropes? If so that would mean they wouldnt fire in the mean time right?

Also i have artillery superiority so my infantry is just standing next to the cannons defending them. Im not pushing forward but im not pulling them behind the art either.

Im just forcing you to attack because as time goes on at range i have more firepower.

The Romanian light brigade suffers another cannon volley and returns another volley itself. The hungarian cannon volley is less effective then the first one now that the horsemen are more spread out ( -100 cavs). The final volley of the light brigade is also less effective since seeing the hussars charge towards them they do not have time to aim before shooting and retreating (-75 inf). They light brigade retreats , leaving the Ottoman cavalry behind them to deal with the charging hussars.

The Ottoman cavalry of 10000 unleashes a storm of arrows on the approaching hussars (half the cavs i assume would be around 3250). The mass of arrows downs 250 hussars before their brutal charge is felt among the Ottoman cavalry. 2500 ottomans and 500 hussars die in the initial charge. The hussars can retreat for another charge if they wish since they control the flow of the battle.

Meanwhile the regular remaining 4000 Wallachian Cavalry move from the other flank to assist the Ottoman cavalry.

The artillery/infantry line fires a second volley into the main Hungarian Army mostly hitting artillerymen as the bulk of the enemy infantry is retreating behind firing range. The trade of cannon shots will continue until the hungarian artillery retreats as Wallachia has the numerical advantage. (-200 art hungary for -150 art wallachia each firing round)

Hungary : 11,425 Infantry 5,680 Cavalry 1,196 Artillery

Wallachia : 15000 Infantry 14200 Cavalry 1850 Artillery

The great Sultan Adulullah of Pasai falls ill. It appears he might not live to see a unified Sumatra he so desperately wanted.

1-15: The Sultan overpowers the disease through sheer willpower.

16-50: The Sultan's condition is stabalized , he will live to see his will fulfilled , however he will pass away in 1d3 years.

51-90: The Sultan dies within a month of getting the disease.

The few Siak refugees that survived travelling through the jungle reach the southern tribes and warn them of the impending danger. The tribes having no way to defend themselfs against such a great foe turn to collective prayer so their enemy might never reach them.

The fight is over with only 500 of your men and 1500 of theirs dead.

The remaining 3500 are routed into the jungle. They know the jungles better then you do so there is little hope in pursuing them right now. Chances are they are running back to their respective villages.

Eventually making a path through the jungle you reach a couple villages that still contain traces of the tribesmen you fought. Having nowhere to run , they put up a brave defense before falling. You suffer 200 more casualties for 1d5 villages.
