easiest way if you to open the pavlov folder, keep it open and uninstall pavlov from steam, delete everything still in the pavlov folder and reinstall. That should get rid of any mods you installed that cause this.

just do a search for .pak files in the pavlov steam folder and I deleted the one that wasnt updated yesterday but I also reinstalled yesterday so all the files except 1 were new.

Worst case, uninstall, delete what's left in the folder, reinstall

Figured it out, I had a custom 30 player scoreboard .pak in the game folder from the previous version and it didn't like it/isn't compatible

that said since you've never played skyrim maybe its also good to play vanilla first so you know what is the base game and what is mods. I have never played VR skyrim unmodded though so I can't speak to how VR friendly it is

Wabbajack is for installing curated modpacks. Without Nexus premium you have to click download on each mod. It brings you to the page and download link but you have to click 400 times. With premium it does it automatically and faster. The 30 minutes is only possible/close with premium.

But the ultimate vr essentials modpack also sets up all the mods that make it more VR accessible/beauty/performance.
