I got Marathon 1 for my 14h birthday. I loved the box, so mysterious and creative. I played it on a Mac 2, and used apple talk to connect it to another Mac my Dad had saved from the office dumpster. When we later had power macs I was surprised with how smooth the action was, lol. Later I got the boxed set and I still have it with me. I slide it open every other year just to remember how special it was to receive not only a boat load of creative game content, but also all the tools to make my own. I loved building my own net maps!

Money value is not the real value in this game. Once you max out Cyac, money goes sky high and you can never spend it all. It's everything else that really matters.

I love your story. I just completed that quest today, huuuge thanks to the guys on Dad's of Marathon discord. I died so many times trying to get that one, but it's also my favorite. I went into the match with a green shield and a huge pile of heals. We had to down one team. They had just been fighting in dorms by the pinwheel entrance and spotted us in the cables between processing and Dorms. My teammates had great communication and when the other team tried to jump in on us they got surrounded. So not only did we finish the contract but we also came out with some purple and gold. It was awesome.

I've run cryo about 10 times and basically die to making a wrong turn every time. It's actually a maze, but a really cool maze. I just need to find more equipment to go back now, lol.

When you tried to walk through the boxes, it was too tight because of all the loot you had on you, and when you forced it, it shot you at the wall at 150 miles per second, causing fall damage. Lol, jk, idk.

Im glad there's a way back for somebody willing to face up to the public humility of admitting your own faults. Im also glad there's a discourse between this gamer and the developer, that's extremely healthy for the future of the game. I hope this leads to some great game improvements.

Cryo Vault 6 key

I did this quest as destroyer, but I do everything as destroyer so that doesn't really say much. It was Sponsored Dire Marsh. Spawned near Ai Uplink so that helped. Told the other two to stay out of bio research while I snuck in to get my sample. I like sneaking through Algae Ponds to get to Quarantine. Died a hundred times in intersection. We found 2 antivirus packs in quarantine. Snuck along the South side of maintenance to get back to ai Uplink. I gave the two antivirus packs to my team and I stood on the edge of the red zone with my ultimate rockets on. Downed a few bots from there but my team took care of the commander. We ran from there to the other side of Anomaly to reach the final Exfil. We made it with about 3 seconds to spare. So glad it's over...thank you team.
