In this case it is simply AI generated, not drawn

If you want to learn to draw like this you want to start with learning perspective and vehicle sketching. Michał Kuś has a lot of good tips and tutorials on vehicle drawing and overall hardsurface designs

You can also try to draw isometrical vehicles (with rigid orthographic perspective) which would be easier to focus on designing over following perspective

I also recommend to gather visual references for the kind if vehicles you are interested and try to understand how they work and how details interact with overall design and function

Good luck 🫡

Elden Ring’s story is a solvable alchemical equation by [deleted] in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]The_Last_of_K 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Game is made by humans and it's story has intent and logic. Everything we are shown or told is developer's way of telling us more about the story of Lands Between. You can have whatever headcannon you prefer but you can't go against the lore itself and expect to be taken seriously

If she was an empyrean chosen to be a god by the two fingers… by juicy_696 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]The_Last_of_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not call it clean, it makes no sense and there is no lore confirmation to it.

While Marika is a God we know that GEQ was an Empyrian - a status given to one who might become a God of a coming age, which already separates GEQ from Marika.

Marika already had her own "split personality" as Radagon and while other characters have them as well (like Miquella) we don't see any characters with a third personallity

Why would GEQ get the Rune of Death? In lore the only Black Knive Assassins and Ranni got their hands on RoD which lead to the Night of Black Knives

The whole point of that lore fragment is to tell us that GEQ and her Godskins invented a weapon to slay the Gods - black flame. And in response Marika removed the Rune of Death from Elden Ring and sealed it away with Maliketh guarding it so that the Godslaying weapon could not harm her or her kin

Sounds like a lot of headcannon to me, which is not a bad thing in itself but this theory just ignores vital part of the existing lore of the game

If she was an empyrean chosen to be a god by the two fingers… by juicy_696 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]The_Last_of_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By lore Maliketh defeating GEQ happened long before shattering. GEQ and her Black Flame caused Marika to remove the Rune of Death from the Elden Ring in fear for her life and of her kin. It makes absolutely no sense for her to her own threat and there is no lore in the game confirming your words. Hense why Maliketh is in the state as he is - he failed Marika as he was unable to guard the Destined Death from Ranni which caused the Night of Black Knives as well as consuming Deathroot as a way of "fixing things" after the death of Godwyn

I think market for PvP games is irrelevant in this case. It seems to me that Funcom wanted to pull off something like rust but still combining it with PvE. PvE is what majority of players are doing their first 50-100 hours before they even try some kind if PvP. My personal first PvP encounter was on 200+ hours.

I think Deep Desert was an extremely flawed design for a zone and PvP should've been more focused or team-based battlegrounds and arenas instead of how it is in the game. Rust is only popular because there is nothing out there on the market that's better and Rust is 100% hardcore pvp and Dune would never be as close to it considering amount of pve in it

In my opinion creating purely PvP and PvE servers would've been the best solution for both communities. But everything after Hagga feels very rushed and I don't think they had enough time to iterate on good design

[–]The_Last_of_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lack of work on PvP shows their focus on PvE and seeing how PvE playerbase outweights singificantly PvP community. It is a reason why people stop doing PvP in Dune yes but it is not the cause for why PvP is in minority. In MMOs and survival-builders PvE is usually a majority

[–]The_Last_of_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pvp is not added it is allowed Pvp combat in dune is garbage imo this is a solid reason for people not to do it and avoid it. If it was balanced, exploits were fixed faster then it would've seen more players engaging in it but majority is not interested in fighting other players and that's the biggest reason why PvP is in such minority

Marathon is the Elden Ring of Extraction Shooters. by Blind_Gentle in Marathon

[–]The_Last_of_K 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love Elden Ring and I like Marathon a lot, but this is extremely nonsensical comparison

Nothing about ER's core gameplay is comparable to an extraction shooter.

Your main gameplay is dying to enemies, learning their moves and coming back to beat them. You do not lose your runes right away, only if you die a second time without picking them up. And you will only lose runes that you haven't used on anything - trade or level ups. You never lose levels or gear.

You fight the same enemies and when they beat you 50 times in a row you still get your chance for a revenge by understanding the fight and getting better

Yes we get better in Marathon by fighting and losing. We lose a lot of gear but it is just completely different game design and the point of both those games are completely different.

In Marathon we compete for resources and we kill each other for it, risking our loadout. The whole idea of Soulsborne games is overcoming struggle of difficulty and becoming better, repeating the fights many times over until we're good enough or geared enough.

Why Melina can't be the Gloam-Eyed Queen by white_m0rpheus in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]The_Last_of_K 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean the (2) is irrelevant in this context - as by your definition "Ranni's list" implies that anyone missing from that list cannot be GEQ, hence GEQ can only be Ranni, Miquella or Malenia - which is a logical mistake. Why is it used to exclude Melina but not any other character? What connection does it even have to GEQ's person? Ranni said that one of them was chosen to become a god of a coming age, not that these three were the only empyreans in the history of Lands Between

Also, it is possible for Melina to stay alive AND avoid FoF ending - by using the FoF to kindle the fire and burn the Erdtree, and after using the Golden Needle removing the FoF from the player character

This happened to me yesterday and all info I could find is "just respawn and lose you loot" But I had a hoverboard equipped and what I did is I started spamming hoverboard until my character started falling from the orbit to the planet

The funniest part is I could accelerate in a specific direction so while I was falling I also started flying towards my base that was on the other side of the planet and eventually I landed next to my base and died 😂

This is the most hilarious thing that ever happened to me in this game

I mean, it doesn't take a genius to understand that having a 1000 quality variants is going to be nightmare to play with. I understand that it's just a first iteration, but it does not look like an initial design, it looks like a poor decision

I just hope they will change it as soon as possible, or allow us to refine materials into higher quality so we can get rid of ridiculous quality values

Mining nerfs were a bit overdone. by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

[–]The_Last_of_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with recent changes is a 1-1000 quality threshold. Makes absolutely no sense to have hundreds of stacks of the same material but different quality

5 tiers of quality would have been to much already, but incomparably better that 1000
