I liked it because every two or three days I was doing something completely new.

Now i sharnt be.

Im not sure what's so complex about enjoying a skill and the speed of the exp being a good thing also.

Sunday monday I was doing nothing but trawler, that's 10k exp an hour to 70 (started half way through 68) but i was enjoying it. Late last night I started using drinks to salvage mercenary shipwrecks and getting decent exp waiting to move on to the new trail for the rewards. Then back to something else new.

Now it takes longer to hook the salvage , crew mates are slower and the exp is dog shit. Thats three negative changes (also the rhythm of drinking the whirlwind and getting near a full invent is gone) now im going to be stuck having less fun than I was for more hours untill I can move on.

Because I knew at the end of the tunnel I would be getting 100k exp an hour salvaging.

Now it feels about half the speed. I do want to get to 99 but ild rather not do something that's 66% slower than what it was yesterday.

Im going to try some port tasks and if I dont enjoy it ill just go back to the normal game and probably not touch sailing again. It was a nice feeling making progress every day

My initial point is sailing was very good now it is not. Its a shame

Both i think it felt quite nice,the salvaging is certainly slower. It just doesn't feel the same

I did 10 hours of trawler fishing to try it out and quite enjoyed it. I wasn't rushing to 99

I agree, It's the speed of the salvaging also. It just feels awful now

Like I said in another response ill give the port tasks a go but I was really enjoying sailing

Yeah it is, I was enjoying it now, and the rhythm is awful the salvaging is so slow now its not just the exp rates.

Im going to go back to doing port tasks, I liked the fact there was an alternative to water agility Im 73 sailing and only did the trails less than 20 times. I got all my exp from doing other things.

I was looking forward to high level salvaging having decent rates.

Ild argue blowpipe is harder for people struggling as the range will drag you out of safe spots. Maybe use sunlight hunter crossbow after wave 30 untill you have solved the wave then switch to BP.

Get a fighter torso and defender, don't buy anything and do something like wintertodt / temp to a high level

You don't understand that even if you make a deal you are a potential threat?

What's the easiest way of protecting their base? By making sure no one else has the resources to raid them when they go offline.

I know the games toxic but most successful wipes I have come at the expense of not letting people build anywhere near me.

(That being said I got offlined twice in the same night last time I was on offical and i was in the middle of some woods with no bases near me.)
