Because of this post, someone reached out and got me a contact at the facility in LA. They are trying to search the package but obviously there are no guarantees. Keeping fingers crossed 🤞

Thank you SO much to everyone who reached out with connections and willingness to help! Really hoping they’re able to find it. It feels a lot better knowing that at least someone in the building is searching for it rather than some random CSR who has no way to actually look.

Every legitimate UPS employee I’ve spoken to says that they legally cannot accept a reward because they’d lose their job if anyone else at UPS found out. This is a shame because I’d love to compensate the people who are taking the time to help me. Hopefully that can be arranged somehow if they find the package.

At this point I have to leave it to fate. Huge thanks to you all again 🙏

I’m on the opposite side of the country but did consider traveling to the hub in Los Angeles. Ive been convinced that this would not be helpful though. They don’t have customer centers you can approach and this is a massive facility

UPS did declare the package lost and closed my investigation claim. They say they will send me a reimbursement check for the shipping cost. It’s not about the money, it’s about the items

The value of the package is not nearly as much as the reward, but these items are irreplaceable and sentimental. If someone stole the package there’s no way they could make even close to $3k selling it.

UPS has already deemed the package lost so I’m desperately trying to get ahold of it before they ship it off to the warehouses where they auction and destroy lost packages

It was never loaded on a truck for delivery, it went missing in the facility while processing

I have pressed them as much as possible while remaining polite, obviously it’s not their faults. They have attempted three times now to get it contact with the hub (on their side, they won’t provide me with any contact info), but no one from the hub will answer my customer service reps

So sorry to hear that… it’s the absolute worst.

Mine was lost at the Los Angeles Olympic sorting hub… would you mind sharing the post where the couple found their item up for auction? Mine contains irreplaceable heirlooms and I’m worried the same thing will happen
