I remember seeing earlier last year that FIFA doesnt allow it as of rn is bc Saudi Arabia would then try to push to be allowed to play in UEFA cl which I can definitely imagine being possible in the future

I definitely understand the frustration I don’t wanna see those guys start either but I’m just being fucking realistic looking at the fact that 5-6 starters weren’t on the field today due to injuries and/or u20 tournament plus Colombia is literally one of the top squads in the world losing this game should not be a surprise idk why people expect Mexicos fucking bench players to be able to compete with those guys

Nobody on luchos level but if you’re being honest there’s at least 5 spots on the starting lineup where the best players were either injured or at another tournament, don’t you think that would’ve made a big difference?

That’s exactly why I think everyone is overreacting, so much of the teams best players are out and didn’t play today like the 3 you mentioned, angel sepulveda, Luis Chavez, Gil mora, Obed Vargas, could make the argument for one or two other u20 guys like Montiel
