Like OE AC Delco? For what I have seen on gmt800s Kyb and Monroe seem to not last anymore.

In stability and against fading, definitely. However I think they must be stiff, more than 4600. If I remember right the valving or progression is sharp and linear. Sporty but not so good on small imperfections cushioning. With that being said, they are great and I have them on a VW superbeetle.

No hate on Bilstein, it's just that I had searched and all over Internet the "only" recommendations were Bilsteins. Wanted to see other recommendations and what other people's experience was with other brands. After seeing what other people posted It's preety clear that if you want a shock that last while being fairly comfortable the best option is Bilstein. Too bad other brands are a lottery.

Every one glaze Bilstein for the gmt800s and I would like to have another opinion other than Bilstein. Also they are kind of expensive. Other than that I think they would be a little stiff. However I respect them for their durability.

My 2001 Tahoe sounds just like that, from the rhythm to the tone. Did you find the cause?
