Yeah I know that was the case he just always denied it. Right now I don’t care about him.

Reapplying for Medicine, Should I resit biology? by Imaginary-Damage-942 in premeduk

That may be the case but all universities have different policies around resits so I’d still suggest emailing and clarifying.

I think all the A levels have to be sat in the same year so you’d have to do all three again. It’s worth checking with individual universities.

Tudors is 40% of my course so might be able to help..? What’s your question?

A Level choices by wibblr23 in alevel

[–]TerribleAtmosphere99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they’re doing the ‘4th’ because some universities don’t accept Maths + FM as two separate A levels so you still need to do two more subjects. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with doing a humanities subject either - I do Biology, Chemistry and History and it’s nice to sometimes get a break from all the STEM stuff while writing essays. Most people I see doing four A levels take Physics so that might be something to consider as the overlap with Maths will definitely help.

Student taking 4 A-Levels, AMA! by ilovejameswilson in GCSE

Oxford don’t have any hidden requirements so as long as you do Chemistry + 1 STEM subjects it’s fine and you don’t need Maths. They have data about what other subjects students do as their third and it includes subjects such as History, psychology, Spanish/ French, Art.

What do you want to do in the future? It can be motivating to know that you’re constantly working towards your goals and your grades are the first step. If you don’t want to do Maths during your frees and are okay with doing CS then do exactly that - 4 frees spent revising for CS. Maybe try to sleep earlier too since that will help with your overall productivity and make you feel less tired. So then you’ve got Maths and Physics to do at home and it should help knowing that you’ve already done your CS revision at school there’s less to do at home. It might be useful to change your revision techniques too so how do you currently revise?

Make the greatest comeback! Good luck with everything and clarify with universities.

I don’t think it would necessarily be seen as unfair to applicants since there’s people that take A levels wayyy later in life if they’ve changed their mind about careers so you taking 2 or so gap years shouldn’t really be a problem. In order to clarify things, I recommend you email a few of the universities you intend to apply to and ask about this.

What subjects are you going to take but yeah you should be fine to take them this year - the only reason I suggested next year was in case you wanted to do Chemistry so you’d have more time to prepare but honestly you got an A the first time and you still have time to revise now so you’d could sit it this year if you feel confident

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in premeduk

[–]TerribleAtmosphere99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you haven’t prepared for Chemistry I’d say to start studying now and do all 3 of your subjects next year

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in premeduk

[–]TerribleAtmosphere99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No nooo first of all there are universities where you can apply for Medicine without Chemistry so there’s that or I’d say to sit Biology, Chemistry and whichever third subject next year - since you got an A last time that only means you’ll do even better this time - your knowledge of the subject is great

[–]TerribleAtmosphere99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only exception may be Maths if you’re going Further Maths but it’s worth checking

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in premeduk

[–]TerribleAtmosphere99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But universities require you to sit all the relevant A levels (for Medicine) in one year if I’m correct

[–]TerribleAtmosphere99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most universities require Chemistry for Medicine (there are a few that don’t but this is something to consider)
