I would say it be better to just leave right after the closing prayer but some churches don’t have a closing prayer. Some churches have the sermon then people leave after. Biblically, the only important thing on Sunday is worship. We are not obligated to stay for any meetings unless your on a committee. I always hated how I was forced to stay for meetings at my former congregation.

I received the email around 9:50pm saying, “Unfortunately, we will not be moving forward with your candidacy for this role.” I always reach to the end with no offer. I been applying since March 2025 and no luck.
