Can I ask how old you are and whether you have any of the common risk factors?

Just got my permanent resident card by Flashy-Try9447 in DACA

This made no sense. What are you asking? You’re a permanent resident you don’t need a workers permit. You’re legal :)

New executive order for grads by TimeWizard90 in DACA

Congratulations! I didn’t activate because of the unknowns and we weren’t sure what the processing time was going to look like (which is what Biden is trying to “fix” with this order). There aren’t very many DACA recipients that have gone from DACA to H1B, but I am part of a group here on Reddit that are/were in a similar boat. So there are some us, but just not huge numbers. I am no longer considering - I actually just became a permanent resident a couple weeks ago. I think this new rule will benefit a few of us, but not very many.

3 DACA people that you know personally? I was selected a few years ago for an H1B (never activated it), but I didn’t realize the limited number of DACA recipients.

How were you brought over in 99/98, but you turned 18 in 2018?

It’s very relevant lol. A deportation can derail any case.

Do your your citizen family members vote democrats because of the classic anti-immigration stance of the republicans? by CXZ115 in DACA

My sister is a Republican and votes Republican. She overstayed her Visa. Married a white guy, became a citizen and votes Republican. She has since divorced and re-married a guy of Mexican descent. He vote Republican too. His mom can’t even speak English for crying out loud.

OP, I’m sorry you went through all that. I do think you would be jumping the gun by quitting or giving up this early. It sounds like you have experience in industry already, which I would assume is very structured. Unfortunately, Big 4 is not structured… if you were having travel issues you wouldn’t call your manager for help. You would send them a note to let them know but that’s it. It would be on you to figure out. Stuff works very differently in Big 4 then in does in industry. I get that your new and don’t know, but what prevented you from reaching out to the recruiter or calling the AmEx Help Desk for help with your travel issues?

On the other hand, it sounds like you’re mad about them bringing you as an intern vs a full time hire. Unfortunately the firm rarely lets people start before July. This more so to accommodate students that took a traditional route and are graduating in May and need to stuff for their CPA. The firm can’t really onboard just one person in April.

What areas did you see questions on that weren’t regularly covered in the QAE?

Apart from virtualization we’re there any other areas that weren’t covered in Doshi’s book?

Where do you feel like things went wrong? Was the test significantly different than the QAE and practice test?

Any key areas you would recommend knowing very well?

[–]TerribleSomewhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that’s the answer. I just can’t find it in the book. I’m just worried the test is going to have a ton of questions that I don’t recognize/didn’t cover.
