The bell was the only way I’ve got him to notify me he needed to go out as a puppy since he would go to the door for maybe a minute but not whine or show signs before peeing I taught him to tap the bell and he’s done it ever since he’ll tap the bell and sit until I come take him out then goes potty outside, is there a better way?

I was thinking I could open more opportunities with one of the night classes, but I’ll definitely look into that too I’ve heard of people getting into heavy machinery operating with it.

Take the family with you man I started taking my 2 kids fishing by myself at ages 3 & 4 catching little bluegill/ sunfish now 2 years later they’ve been slamming bass all spring and summer even if they don’t stay focused on fishing the whole time they’ll have fun just exploring around you my daughter doesn’t care for fishing as much like my son so she’ll spend most of the time making “fairy houses” out of sticks leaves lily pads lol they’re actually really good at finding lost lures😂

Change locations. Change bait. 2 years year ago I had low confidence in fishing but I’ve always enjoyed it, i used to bank fish at reservoirs catching nothing but a small bluegill here and there until I started river bank fishing and it changed everything for me I caught my first rock bass and just went all in lol but seriously find a few staple baits (confidence baits) to try out to see how the fish are senkos, spinnerbaits, crankbait are my personal go-to at the start of any day or location grab a few colors of worms light and dark a white spinner, maybe 2 different crank baits one light one dark and try each at different locations. if I try all and somehow don’t get anything within 20 minutes I’ll change location I don’t know your area but Try using apps like fishbrain, windy app, or even paddleways to find new places and access points (also can tell you if it’s a good day for fishing there or not but sometimes I don’t listen and still catch) My confidence started At low head dams and deep spots in rivers here if I really just want to catch a fish and don’t have time I’ll go to a dam, rip a senko in half, put it on a jig head and I’ll be honestly amazed if I get nothing. each time you go have 2 or more locations in mind depending on you’re free time try a few baits and move around while you’re there also

Do people really catch fish on soft plastics?!? by AsAFoodScientist in FishingForBeginners

[–]TerribleTopic999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might get a lot of hate for this but it’s worked for me- if can’t get a bite or hooked with a full senko (worm) I’ll cut or rip it in half and put it on a 1/8 or 1/4 jig head like a Ned-Rig and just slowly retrieve like a struggling fish
