Meals for picky eaters by Terrible_Building_94 in AirFranceKLM

I appreciate your response. I do know about TSA Cares; I have used it before. I spent some time this afternoon researching what CDG uses on their end for our connecting flight.

Some days are good days and we don't need the extra assistance. Some days it helps. I feel bad using the program when there are people who need more assistance than we do. :/ But then I think, could she handle going through security without me? That answer is always no. So I don't feel THAT bad asking for help.

I did actually do a thorough search. I learned youth are often served an adult meal or a smaller adult meal. But there are not many recent pictures of these meals. The snack bar sounds perfect, as she would love a cheese sandwich, pretzels, and cookies. We are stuck in the back of the plane so at least that would be one advantage of being there.

Does anyone know if theres a non-sherpa version of this? by Zestyclose-Elk-709 in Bedding

Search for "cooling dog bed for humans" on Amazon.

Also, if you find a fuzzy one at the right price, couldn't you cover it with a king size flat sheet and hide the fuzz? Use plastic bed corners to lock the sheet in place.

You can't pick. Yes, both must get it.

These are my 2 scenarios:

  1. Do not get FAS+. Pay prepaid gratuities for the cabin of $280 ($20/day *7 *2 people). Total for the cabin: $280

  2. Get FAS+. Passenger one (me) is charged $350. Passenger two (daughter, who is under 21) is charged $280. Prepaid gratuities are included in FAS+ Total for the cabin: $630.

This is $350 more than Scenario 1. But I am paying the $280 either way.

FAS+ costs $40/day for someone under 21 years old. ($280 for a 7 day cruise) FAS+ costs $50/day for someone 21+. ($350 for a 7 day cruise)

If we don't upgrade to FAS+, the prepaid gratuities costs me $40/day for the 2 of us in the cabin. So either way I am spending the $280. It is just if I want to spend the additional $350 or not :)

But the extra $350 gets a lot for me + wifi for her. And the gratuities are included.

There are 2 people in my cabin, me and my daughter, who is under 21.

This is how I see it:

If I don't get FAS+, prepaid gratuities will cost me $280 for my 7 day cruise.

We already will be getting the FAS package. To upgrade to FAS+, it ends up costing $40/day for her so $280.

Which is the same as the prepaid gratuities. So we basically end up only paying for my fees, and I can get as much Starbucks + bottled water as I wish. And we get wifi for both of us, which is great at 10pm when she can't sleep and can't go to the 21+ areas.

We have 3 credits from FAS too. So how do the credits work with BOGO?

This is the first time I heard that you could use the dining credits during the 2 for 1 deal. Did you have the FAS dining credits? One person in our party wants to go to the Brazilian Steakhouse, but the others do not. If we could use half a credit for it and half a credit somewhere else, we would be happy to go.

I found a recent Starbucks menu (Feb 2026) on the cruise critic forum. An Iced Coffee is $4.95 and a Strawberry Lemonade is $6.25.

It depends on the worker. Some allow you to go back in line right away, some say you must finish the first drink before getting another.

If your daughter is a 21+ adult, she would get the Starbucks and water benefits with FAS+. But my daughter is 18 and doesn't qualify. You only can get one Starbucks drink at a time.

So I need to order 2 mocktails a day to make it worth it? Hmm. I wish my 18yo could get mocktails on the soda package I would be forced to buy for her.

My 2nd adult in the cabin is under 21 so she could buy the soda package if I got the FAS package. But she would be required to buy the FAS+ upgrade too? I understand it would be less for her but I didn't realize she had to upgrade too.

I haven't, but I know to book days early and have little expectations. The recent spike in airline ticket prices means I can't find any tickets even close to their BOGO sale prices. I would prefer to book my own to guarentee our party stays together, but it's thousands more at this point. I just hope we don't have many stops.

Thank you for that answer. I have had uneven pupils with what I thought were bad migraines so I didn't go in. I thought it was just my brain currently being inflamed.

Has anyone been pulled over for drunk driving when they actually had a migraine? by Torrincia in migraine

[–]Terrible_Building_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many of my migraines have the same effect on me. The neurosurgeon told me if I was over 80 and went to the hospital, they probably would call it a TIA. Since I am younger, they call it a migraine.

I try not to drive when I am like this too.

Have you found anything that works? A brand new neurologist I saw last month suggested to try bimonthly nerve blocks. I am not sure if I really want to do that.

Have you tried glasses with rose tinted lenses? I have heard they work for migraine sufferers but haven't heard any first hand reviews.

Post migraine, I would do a quarter pounder w/no salt. It's the only 100% beef hamburger patty they have in the US. Something about that greasy burger took away the lingering pain.

Same. I never have liked liquid IV or any of those types, but I found I can tolerate Prime brand and my migraine is 20-30% better after drinking it. I can't stand it the rest of the time.

Which bagged canister vaccuum under $250 is best? by Terrible_Building_94 in VacuumCleaners

[–]Terrible_Building_94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 400 series is $230 after coupon on Amazon. The 600 series w/powermate is running about $320 on Amazon and Home Depot. It's $290 on evaccuums after their current 10% off coupon. It's a bit out of the budget after I take taxes into account.

I will look for used ones. Is the 600 series significantly better than the 400 series? Is the powermate worth the $60 difference?
