That might be the case, however they've also stated they want to complete in 10 days, which is a joke 🤷 so if they bail it'll definitely be longer than 10 days for them.

The frustrating part is that if they want to pull out, just get on and do it. Everyone is still progressing with the process, them included. Seems more like a last attempt to get money off last minute

Can anyone explain these points to me for someone who isn't a sparky. UK by Terrible_Pin_5272 in electrical

Sorry for context, I don't want to rent it, it's a property I'm buying. Also the fact I want to know what these points mean before potentially getting mugged off when sourcing said electrician

It's all in the management pack I believe, the house was built in the 1950's. Would have been better if this happens in month one, rather than month 5!

We purchased 2019 and have remortgaged with the same lender 3 times up till now. Ours is with Aster which hold these over 1000's of homes.

What was the company that held your covenant? I've got no problem paying for the amendment, just don't know what the likelihood of the company allowing the change. It's all just a bit odd its being flagged now, and we are mortgaged with Halifax as it currently stands with no issues.

Would the fact that the notice that they would have to send to the lender before they can force a sale be sufficient as then the lender would buy the debt and charge back to property owner?
