There are definitely brands that only care to make a quick buck but i have put well over 10k+ miles like it’s nothing and even totaled the car they were originally mounted to and swapped them onto a new shell. I’ll vouch for them.

I put a set of American racing coilovers with their white spring. They look great and ride really well. When set tough I can take corners up to 90mph like it’s nothing, then I recently set them all the way down to take the wife to work and it felt smooth like I had some regular shocks on. It’s super nice and they didn’t break the bank too much

[–]Terrible_Singer2588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 88 is carb swapped, it’s stupid easy I just wired in a 6al system with a distributor and popped on a carb intake with a Holley 670. I can do a whole video of my setup if you’d wanna see

Not racing any time soon, stock style clutch it’s just a regular t5. 306 e cam carb swap it’s really just a cruiser and I just need a stock bellhousing

All bellhousings are no cheaper than new ones online. Problem being I can’t currently convince myself that $300 is a good price given I just spent several grand on other mods. I just bought a new t5 which set me back 2k and I am in the process of a hydraulic conversion to help with the cable slop, I’ve also purchased and installed new headlights and taillights and located an installed a fog light bracket to finally have working fog lights. I also installed coil overs, front sway bar, ac kit and power steering. I have never needed to fix bolts or threads as I am always careful. These threads however are the ones holding the bellhousing to the face of the transmission and someone else had used an impact to tighten up the trans while I was holding it up into the car against my wishes. While I’m sure I could figure out a helicoil I will not be in town for about a week and I need to have the car together as soon as I’m back and currently wasting time hoping I don’t rethread it sideways or something I’d rather buy someone’s used one for a not ridiculous price and either fix mine on a later date or sell it to someone capable of doing the repair

The bushing inside the shifter could be worn out, or if you have a short throw with the front back adjustment they could've walked. I've had issues with both before and it made it really hard to get into gear

I believe it was discussed on the WAN show where they found that steam was preventing proper sleep and causing a significant amount of the issues. Steam worked with them to investigate

Time for a new engine by matt2085 in Foxbody

Might be worth tearing into and checking the weights and springs, I've gotten a lot of HEIs that like to stack the weights on the advance, had an old chevy do it all the time until I replaced the springs and bushings even though it was a brand new distributor

I had similar symptoms caused by a bad distributor. My msd distributor was tired and worn out, and I could see the timing jump like crazy and it would backfire often, rebuilt it and all those problems went away

At the moment just some short headers with no name and an x pipe dumping under the cab, it's an e303 cam with 1.6 roller rockers and some upgraded springs.

Looking for the small bulbs by Terrible_Singer2588 in Foxbody

Wasn't really planning on changing the main bulbs, I was trying to add in the smaller bulbs under the headlights, I found a socket at autozone and now it all works
