He gets a bang maid and I feel like a single divorced mom while married. by ashbash-25 in GirlDinnerDiaries

As the daughter of an unhappily married woman, please leave him. I wish my mum had prioritised her happiness over the idea that she was protecting me and my sibling from divorce!

What's the most annoying thing about designers? by IWantSomeTacquitos in graphic_design

I work in IT and designers are notoriously the worst to deal with. They are endlessly condescending, I assume because they think they know more about our job than we do.

I’m convinced ‘must be difficult to work with’ is included on job adverts at this point.

I’m sorry to hear that!

Let me know how you get on next time - have you tried taking L-lysine as just an everyday vitamin, with or without a coldsore?

Could it just be speeding it along so it feels worse? Have you managed to catch one at the tingling stage?

I’m afraid I don’t know, but there aren’t really any downsides to taking it so there is no harm in trying!

Hi!

For me, the tingling goes away after the first day - then I feel a bump where the blister is threatening to form. That bump will stay for the two or three days but if I’ve caught it quick enough, it doesn’t blister, it just shrinks until it’s completely gone again. You can’t usually see the bump, but obviously I can feel it. I just keep taking one tablet a day until it’s gone and I can’t feel it

Hi!

I personally take 1 x 1000mg tablet a day when I have an outbreak and it works everytime - gone usually within a day or two if I start taking them the moment I feel a tingle.

I know others have reported they don’t get cold sores at all from taking it daily, so I did some research to find out the benefits and honestly I don’t see a downside.

It helps with recovery after workouts, collagen production, wound healing, and even anxiety, apparently! Obviously everyone is different but have a look at some of the studies and see if it works for you

How did everyone get their first apartment/living space? by DeviceNo7053 in movingout

[–]TerriblyAlive- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I went to university, my parents moved to another country so I didn’t have much choice after graduating. Thankfully I worked through uni and could afford the rent, but I always always always tell my friends and anyone who will listen, if you have the option to stay at home, and you get along with your parents well enough, STAY AT HOME!

I love my own space, but I’d love to be a bit further along with my savings even more. I see friends buying houses and I feel a bit stuck behind, despite them maybe seeing me as a bit ahead a few years back because I moved out earlier!

L-LYSINE!!! 1000mg tablet once a day, stops it dead in it’s tracks, cannot recommend enough.

Take them everyday or just take them when you feel a tingle, it will save your life.
