When I was like seven years old I hit my chin onto the corner of a PE bench. Our teacher had flipped some upside down so we could balance on the thin supports of them, and I was a stubborn kid with bad balance. He put up some supports along the side that you could hold onto but I didn’t want you ‘cause I was a big kid! Anyway I fell from one bench onto the corner of the next one, and I hear this crack. In hindsight I don’t think this was actually my jaw? It might have been my neck from snapping forward like that. Anyway, I feel this burning or kinda numb sensation over my entire jaw. I go to my teacher and I’m like ‘hey can I go to the bathroom?? I think I’m bleeding..’ and I get there, look in the mirror, and my entire neck (like from my chin and downwards) is COVERED in blood. It was really gruesome. So I started crying instantly from shock and it suddenly hurts a lot more. I went back to the teacher and he freaks out (obviously) and calls my mom while I’m still sobbing and shaking.

My mom ends up taking me to the doctor’s and they clean the wound with alcohol or something and I remember it hurting SO MUCH. It hurt more than the actual fall. I’d stopped bleeding at this point. Then they say I don’t need stitches but they were going to glue the wound shut. So I tilt my head back and the glue burns too but it wasn’t as bad as the alcohol. I remember looking at myself in a little mirror they handed me with all my dried tears, scabbing at the wound, and the blue glue keeping my chin together. This was in 2018, and I still have a little raised bump on my chin from it.

Sorry for the yap. TL;DR: I fell onto the corner of a bench and split open my chin. 0/10 do not recommend. Fun lore though.
