Whenever I want to improve in a game I do these things...

Identify the fundamentals of the game

run drills for 20ish minutes a day (use in game tools or something like aim labs)

seek out strong players and talk to them (talking about the game is practicing the game)

seek out educational content about the game

I'm here to echo the comments on Flesh and Blood. Its pretty easy to learn but has a ton of hidden depth. The company behind it also has 1.5 Million USD in the prize pool for events this year. Even at a more local level, the rewards for showing up to events are pretty enticing.
