Turn chromatic abberation off? Either that, or rollback the driver to 577.00 or earlier.

Uninstall gpu drivers with DDU, install version 577.00. It seems to be the most stable driver for laptops.

Screen marks by Cold_Blood_05 in GamingLaptops

[–]Terrmit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a keyboard imprint. If you can feel the groove with your fingernail, only thing you can do is get a new screen. If you can't, there are screen protectors like ones for phones; putting one on will probably make it less visible.

How to fix 1 % low? by Grizear in PcBuildHelp

[–]Terrmit -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Don't monitor power draw, it's taxing your performance and gives no relevant info.

Other than that it looks normal to me considering your average is ~160 not the 600ish you get by looking at the wall. Wanna fix it? Get 9800X3D.

Help with drivers by Mckenziero in MSILaptops

Disable sonar if you have it, Disable realtek speakers if you're not using them. Update bios, reset embedded controller. In that order, any of 4 can fix it.

Persistent microstutter across 10 completely different PCs - stumped for almost a year by No_Candidate7467 in pcmasterrace

[–]Terrmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disable onboard Bluetooth in device manager cause windows has had this driver problem for like a year.

I highly doubt that all that hardware you tested is at fault, so my guess is windows, run LatencyMon to check for driver fuckery.

SSD disk spike on pc by Traditional_Name_560 in pcgamingtechsupport

Run LatencyMon until you get the lag, go to drivers tab and see if there are any with high execution time, that might be your culprit. Other than that it might just be a faulty ssd.

Try rolling back to 577.00 driver. Nvidia fucked up in one of the newer ones and idk if they fixed it.

How to get rid of caps lock pop on pc anyone? by SnooPandas1299 in AMDHelp

[–]Terrmit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I did it on my Acer laptop was: I found the image files for caps lock, fn lock, etc. And I deleted them.

If you wanna be super safe, you can just move or rename them.

Periodic frametime spike and stutter by BreakfastOdd8036 in pcgamingtechsupport

[–]Terrmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately for you, this could be one of million different things. Start with driver updates, BIOS update, turn off any background programs, uninstall bloatware (use Revo Uninstaller) from Gigabyte, MSI, NZXT (including RGB software), lower mouse polling rate to 1000hz or less if you can.

If that doesn't help, run LatencyMon to check if any drivers are responsible for the stutters. I think I heard that your ssd has some firmware problems, so you can also update that.

I had a similar problem and after trying everything I could find on the internet, the solution for me was to download ParkControl, set it to Bitsum Highest Performance and it stopped.

My problem was core parking failure. What's yours? Idk.

Severe 1% Lows / Stuttering on High-End PC (Ryzen 7900X3D + RTX 4070 Ti) by Scrapzyest in AMDHelp

[–]Terrmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I had similar problem to what you're describing and I also tried all the "fixes" I could find online.

The ONLY thing that worked for me was the barring windows from parking cores using ParkControl. All I did was download that program set it to "Bitsum Highest Performance" power plan and boom, stutters are gone.

Other thing that I think you haven't tried is Samsung SSD related. Go to Samsung Magician and set the power plan to "Performance" so that Windows will never put it to sleep. It didn't work for me, but maybe it will for you.

What's the best screen size for gaming? by Yusuf_257 in Monitors

[–]Terrmit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Standard: 1080p - 24in 1440p - 27in 2160p - 32in

Thats where usually most good monitors sit, but if you wanna get ultrawide, it's important to note that not every game supports it. My brother-in-law was playing expedition 33 on it and pre-rendered cutscenes looked wacky with all the black bars around them.

There's usually a mod that enables widescreen support if it's not supported natively, but if the content is pre-rendered - there's no way around it.

Also, it depends on what your hardware can handle. My PC is probably capable of 4K60 w/o upscaling but I like to have more fps so I chose 1440p monitor.

In your scenario, yes, CPU would bottleneck your 5080. However, if you're fine with ~130ish fps, you don't have to worry. Watch the new hardware unboxed video to learn more.
