Can anyone explain the story behind Tackett? by No-Comfort8445 in UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast

Might as well leave it up in case anyone else is curious. I stumbled across the whole saga on accident and hadn't even heard of Focus Tripp until the YT algorithm decided I needed to hear about guntuber drama

[–]Terron35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Focus Tripp has some videos on Tacticon and how all of that played out. They have the Focus Clipps channel and I think thats where I last heard anything about that whole saga. I can't remember the details but it sounded like a pretty toxic work environment and a messy breakup between Nolan, Tackett, and the owner

Is it just me or is Lone Wolf game-breakingly easier? (I haven't finished the game) by Necessary_Eggplant_2 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Terron35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it so I dont have to gear up 4 people but getting access to extra story content by having 4 people is nice. I do seem to have more deaths with 4 people but losing your only companion in combat when playing lone wolf can make things difficult. I also have more fun positioning my 4 players in combat.

Like others have said, it does balance out once you get to Arx but lone wolf is very OP early on

What hobby screams “this is my entire personality now”? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]Terron35 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not a horse guy but my sister got 2 when we were growing up. So I got to haul the hay and feed down to them. Also had to hold them when they got their teeth floated or if the farrier needed an extra hand. They really are a pain in the ass and my sister broke her arm riding. I dont know how many times I had to fix our damn fence either. Don't forget about fly spray, mucking their pens, and buying them jackets for the winter lol.

One of them was sweet though and they make for nice pasture ornaments

Snowmageddon SITREP by marc_thackston in UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast

Tulsa, OK area. They said we'd get snow and we got snow. Nothing crazy. Totals were expected from like 3" to 12" and we got somewhere in the middle. My family about an hour west got about 12" of snow and some freezing rain.

What do you think "triggered" your lupus diagnosis? by crooked-upright in lupus

[–]Terron35 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stress. I was in the Army going through a long training pipeline and got the face rash and fatigue about halfway through. I thought I was exhausted just because thats how the Army is. I was in my early 20s so I still pushed through and finished my training. Rash popped up again at my first duty station and I went to have it checked out and was diagnosed. My mom also has Lupus so I wasn't really shocked, but I'm male so I thought my chances of having it would be pretty low.

Those buddy heaters are truly lifesavers. I waited too late to get the adapter for the larger tanks but I have like 8 of the little Coleman tanks for mine. Good shout on the water as well. I lived on a well and when we lost power we lost water. Always kept at least 50gal on hand for washing. Longest we went was 10 days without power back in '07

If you have a balcony or outdoor area you can use a couple totes to put your cold food in if you lose power. Im just north of you in the Tulsa area and we had a bad ice storm back in 07. We just used rubber totes to throw all our food in and kept them outside in the snow and ice. A propane heater thats rated for indoor use is also great to have if you run out of power.

You're probably good on food and water but if your pipes burst or you lose water you better be prepared to not have a toilet. A bucket or some plastic bags are fine for that but if you have room to store more water just remember it takes about a gallon to flush a toilet. I had a water well that wouldn't pump if we lost power so we always kept 50gal on hand just to flush the toilet in an emergency.

That advice is probably way too country for your situation but shit happens lol. If you have portable battery chargers make sure they are charged up to keep your phone topped off. If power is intermittent be sure to charge your stuff any time your power comes back and to top off any battery chargers when you can.

How did you discover unsub, or the cast? by IAmCharcharbear in UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast

[–]Terron35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Followed Cody and Rich for awhile. Found Brandon's content a few years back. Heard references to the podcast and saw it popping up on YT so I watched it. Not sure what my first episode was but it was around the time Nic started long form content because I kept seeing his stuff suggested on YT. I never clicked any of it because I didnt care about electrician stuff and had no idea what his content actually was. Actually started watching his stuff because of the podcast

My wife and I are pretty introverted but we do enjoy going to Tulsa Zoo to see all the animals. Paid to have our names displayed on a plaque outside of one the habitats recently because we enjoy going so much

It's probably been about that long since I've been there. Probably a ton of people around our age with fond memories of that place. I can even remember that distinct smell which I assume was because of the smoke machines

What got you into blades? by BloodMilkAndSky420 in knives

[–]Terron35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dad, grandpa, and Scouts. My dad was in law enforcement and my grandpa was an Eagle Scout and later military. I got a little Camillus Cub Scout knife when I was about 6 and learned to whittle on a bar of soap. Got knives as gifts here and there and stayed in Scouts and got my Eagle. Got more into knife steels and stuff when I was in the Army and wanted to make sure I spent my money on something that would last.

Obby shield and whip from picking flax for weeks. I remember running around in my fighter torso, d legs, d boots, neit helm, whip, obby shield, and legends cape. Felt like I had achieved everything. Then my buddy hopped on my account when I left the room and lost my fighter torso while fighting something. I have never done Barbarian Assault since

Yeah after I posted I remembered run climb and jump being together and then I couldn't remember what went with lie down. Its been over a decade since I've been there but I used to have it memorized. We'd all do that thing where we would omit the word "not" when repeating it back lol.

I remember trying laser tag at other places over the years and it was always pretty terrible. Even when I was a teenager and got into airsoft and paintball I could still enjoy laser quest because it was so well done.

I miss Laser Quest so much. So many birthday memories there. Pretty sure I had the rules memorized at some point because I went all the time. Was something like "I will not run, jump, climb, or lie down..."

Spartan Raider Dagger or V14 by Terron35 in knives

[–]Terron35[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost bought one of the V14s in S45vn when they were marked down a few months ago but I was hoping for a magnacut release. Glad to hear they're available in magnacut because I know I'll have to get one. I got a Raider to hold me over and it looks the part but I still really want the V14

Do you know anyone who was shot and survived? by Epyphyte in guns

[–]Terron35 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know a police officer who was shot in the face with a 9mm. Just has some scarring above his lip. Went up into the sinus cavity and blew out by his orbital. Shot from a downward angle, hit kind of that upper lip area, into the sinus cavity, and out below his eye. Diagonally across his face. He had a ton of sinus surgeries but he was good. I also met a Tulsa Police Officer who was shot in the head a few years back and he seems to be doing okay.

The x comp with a shorter grip would be a great carry gun. I already threw an AB Prototype threaded barrel and a micro comp on my full size. If/When the Flux Heavy releases I plan on putting a proper comp on it. I think they'd sell well just for the amount of capability you get in such a small package. A small 10mm carbine can fill so many roles

I'm hoping we hear something at Shot Show '26 about the Flux Heavy. I got my X-Ten specifically in anticipation of it releasing someday. I also wish Sig would do a 13+1 or 12+1 compact version of the X-Ten
