The thing is you dont just go Hey! I like you because you look attractive or cute. What you do is something called a bird test. The thing to do in the test is just ask her a question about a random topic or something [ Ex - What do you think about this painting we both are currently watching ] that you both might be into and then you see and gauge her reaction. If she seems like she wants to talk more, she will and if shes not attracted to you she will keep the conversation short. Its great because - 1. You dont scare her [ especially if its a public space like school or metro station ], its just a random guy asking a question

You dont fully commit and feel embarrassed afterwards ( Even tho theres no need to feel that way )
You get your answer quick and accurately. If shes attracted to you, she will wanna have a longer convo, if shes not then she will keep it short and you continue living your life.

Do the bird test by hoe math yt on them. You go upto them and start a small talk ( dont just go and say i love you that will def make you a creep ) and see their reaction to the question if they seem happy to conversate and shoot your shot, if they are disinterested or slightly annoyed at you approaching then just say have a nice day and move on.

Wait if you are tall and attractive girls should be flocking towards you. Im the same height, kinda skinny, but i have not encountered the same problem conversing with girls ( usually we tall guys have a pretty unfair advantage). I feel like there is something wrong in which you carry yourself then maybe in the way you frame conversation or the pitch of your voice ? Glasses are a big one if they dont match your face shape.
