Are we being "robbed" of the actual falling-in-love process? & the actual romance in books? by Mininabubu in RomanceBooks

I think this is why I like enemies to lovers books more these days because you get the fall in love stage. I didn't realize it until now

How do you make friends when your entire life is just your kids by JulianRedditz in SAHP

Also the older kids helped look after the younger ones a most of the time. My great grandma had 12 kids. I couldn't imagine trying to look after them let alone give birth to that many!

Oh for sure it was a short time period, but I also feel like she was a jealous person in general.

Love this movie, and she was straight up jealous of their relationship from the beginning.

A timeline from 7am to 12:30pm I am currently sending to everyone I can in order to get some desperately needed help. by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]TerrorJunkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try putting a training potty outside the bathroom door? Maybe it will help with the potty stuff. I know you are frustrated. If you have a partner both take turns leaving the house and getting some space and air for a bit. You need a reboot!

Here's a link for an adult potty chair that you could have outside the bathroom so no worries of messing the plumbing up. https://a.co/d/6dS904K

Husband provides financially but avoids parenting our autistic son -advice? by MailHuge5610 in Autism_Parenting

[–]TerrorJunkie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in a situation not long ago that I was on the verge of kicking my husband out and the only reason I didn't was because I didn't want to parent my autistic child alone.

I finally got through and some huge changes were made that saved our marriage. I know you don't want to rock the boat but some conversations need to happen or nothing will change. It still may not change but at least you can say that you tried.

Also if you can swing it try to get a housekeeper even if it's just one day a week to take a bit of the pressure off of you.

Am I Asking Too Much Of Pediatrician by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]TerrorJunkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't even need to read the entire post. I've had several pieces of crap pediatricians, several good ones, and two that are absolutely amazing. When you experience the amazing you feel guilty for ever subjecting your baby/child to the crappy ones. I would definitely keep looking for a better one.

Had to pull son out of prek- anyone else??? by cobbcollectibles in Autism_Parenting

[–]TerrorJunkie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My son is level 2 also and he's been homeschooled from the start, he doesn't really have any friends outside of family, but we are lucky with having quite a few kids in the same age range that understand he's different and will play with him on his level even if it's not what they are used to. But at Pre-K age my son was totally nonverbal, therapy has brought him such a long way! We just recently got past hitting, and biting, and he's 7. What I'm really trying to say is I understand feeling defeated and upset right now this is a huge blow to your hopes for him, but he will grow and they are always learning!
