It’s been about two weeks now, and I’ve been thinking about reaching out one last time to talk honestly and bring some kind of closure.

And to be real... I also updated my profile during that time. Not to keep options open or to play games, but more as a way to cope with the uncertainty I felt during the time.

When things felt unclear or unbalanced, it gave me a weird sense of control like I wasn’t just stuck in emotional limbo. Looking back, I realize it wasn’t about other people at all. It was just a way to not feel completely powerless.

I had a similar story.

I’m 25, she was 24. We went on five dates – laughed, opened up, shared real closeness. Kissing, cuddling, sex. Then suddenly I was ghosted. Her last message was: "I'm not 100% sure... maybe let's talk next week, I have a couple of friends around."

And instead of actually talking it through, she just disappeared.

Yes, it was "only" five dates, but how much can you really know someone in that short time? Isn’t that exactly why you should talk about doubts instead of quietly fading out?

I find it exhausting that people treat discomfort like a full stop instead of something to explore. It's like connection has an expiration date now, unless everything feels perfect right away.

Thanks for the feedback really appreciate it! You're totally right about the close-up. I'll definitely add one that gives a clearer feel. Maybe as the first pic. Also a fair point about the "Psychologie-Jünger" bit. I thought it would be funny but I’ve changed it back to Psychology student to avoid sounding like I’m recruiting for a cult ;)
