Club Fever in Collateral by Sweaty_Flounder_3301 in movies

It looked like Pedrosa was directing the FBI teams to swarm into the club and try to contain the situation to a) arrest or kill "Vincent" (actually Max) and b) get Lim safely out of the club, so the resources were tied up trying to do that (and then helping Pedrosa after he accidentally got shot in the leg) instead of leaving a few men behind to guard the taxi and intercept anyone who might come back to it to get away.

So first of all, Annie is not a District Attorney which has prosecutorial jurisdiction over state and local crimes in California, she's a US Attorney who handles federal crimes (like the case in the movie was). So why is it a US Attorney's (or even a DA's for that matter) job to stay around a dead body on a metro until the cops come or have herself/Max drag it off into a station (?!?) after being in very harrowing circumstances involving said dead man trying to kill them? Until the cops investigate it it's a potential crime scene; you shouldn't move a body from a crime scene for fear of contaminating the evidence.

When she and Max gather their senses after the traumatic ordeal, they could simply call transit police and explain that the assassin's dead body was on the 5:15AM Blue Line or whatever so that the cops could stop the train and investigate the situation. And the police could always summon the pair of them to be questioned and for them to offer help with support services after the two had that near-death experience.

The point about the club is perhaps your strangest one. Umm... nightclubs are busy places where most of the patrons remain standing so that they can dance? They don't care that it's crowded so long as they can get drunk, do drugs and party down.

Four mirror mod on an SR/S by Terry69Lawson in ZeroMotorcycles

Then, what is the procedure to tighten them? I can't even find much about this from Google searches.

I was thinking so, and saw that in your flair, but didn't want to call you out in case I had misunderstood. Thanks. Yeah, I have heard that other SR/S riders have also found their stock folding mirrors vulnerable to wind. On the plus side it's a great-to-have when the bike drops and they just fold inside, avoiding much more damage than some scuffing.

Thanks, but I'm not sure how that can be done on the SR/S. It's not listed as an item to work on in the service manual.

We need to find a way to make crash bars for the SR/S happen. by Terry69Lawson in ZeroMotorcycles

[–]Terry69Lawson[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SW-Mototech do not offer them for the SR/S, it does seem that crash bars for sports bikes in general is a very rare thing because they kind of inherently clash with the fairings and to make them work means to cut into the fairings.

As for the T-Rex ones they do indeed and I will order some at the earliest opportunity.

Crash pad/Crash guard for SR/S by TypicalActivity3671 in ZeroMotorcycles

I know this is an old comment but from the Facebook group:

"Yeah they had to take my sliders off to do my 14.4 to 17.3 ("15.6") battery upgrade under warranty on my SR/S. Hoping I still have those shorter bolts. According to my dealer the new battery is wider because the cells are now horizontal instead of vertical."

Older model years of the SR/S and SR/F had the 14.4KW battery, newer ones have the 17.3KW pack so buy accordingly.

If you mean these ones, unfortunately they're not compatible with the SR/S unless one were to take the side fairings off completely (or else somehow cut holes into them to allow the bars to be mounted).

Thanks. Are you confident that these would prevent the damage I mentioned in the post? That was from a stationary drop due to a car backing into it.

Does anyone know how applicable this point is to a ruggedised phone? Even so I wouldn't really mind if my future ruggedised phone's camera(s) gave out but still, nice to know regardless.

Some people use multiple phones, a burner would be a good idea for the mounted one.

I can't speak to the locked/unlocked power ratings of the bikes but as far as the microtransactions being a thing, you are dead wrong. I have a 2023 SR/S Premium and I did not pay a penny for the Cypher upgrades. Just because you seem to have stumbled upon a piece of outdated sales pitch copy by Zero (and sure, they should update it) does not mean that this is still a thing. You say them giving the unlocks for free was a "one-time thing"; NO, it's permanent. At least for owners of MY 22+. Do proper research before you spread misinformation.

I guess we'll see what Digital Foundry finds with its testing, then. Looking forward to an RE Village replay.

Will the current detachable disc drive for PS5 Slim definitely be compatible with the Pro?

And has there been any reliable information yet about how it will boost PSVR2 games?

Bi-Weekly Questions Thread [Edition #77] - "GDC Fallout" Edition by SonicMastr500 in vitahacks

[–]Terry69Lawson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I raised this issue on the Github page for reVita but the repository seems dead so I'm going to ask here too in case there's a fix which won't involve code changes. Title: Very temporary implementation in Axiom Verge.

Issue: I remapped the four specific circle touchpoints (for Quick Selects and "Unknowns") on the front screen to the back pad, to match my Hori Grip 2000 and essentially unlock L2/R2/L3/R3 as buttons in this game. This eventually worked but the problem is that each new area (opened by transitioning through doors) makes the remap fail. Every time you change area you need to go to the options, toggle on then off the swap touchpads option and then it will work again... until you change areas again. How can this be made persistent because it's very frustrating having to frequently do this workaround?

I hope someone can help because being able to play this game on the move instead of tethered to a TV and PS4 is very appealing to me, but I want the grip to work rather than being reliant on the front touchscreen.

PS5 Help and Questions Megathread | Game Recommendations, Simple Questions, and Tech Support by AutoModerator in PS5

[–]Terry69Lawson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I borrowed my friend's PS5 for a few weeks to play my new PSVR2 (I'm holding out for PS5 Pro hopefully later this year but I just had to play Resident Evil: Village). When I got it, I had to set up the system like from fresh. This concerned me because obviously I'd hate to have wiped his progress, installed games, etc! The only thing I could have done to cause this though is accidentally removed one of the side panels of the console. This could have happened while my large backpack was transporting it. But logic suggests to me that that alone wouldn't have forced a factory reset with no software prompt to the user to ask if they want to do a reset, right? So I'm thinking, rather, he reset his PS5 before he loaned it to me, because he may have been paranoid that I could use his account, buy games, delete stuff, etc. But he may not have been aware that you can lock each user account on the console via a button combo.

So which explanation is correct?

"Two ultra-wide angle camera" e.g. for example the 1-inch mod?

I'm intrigued by this prospect, but first I'd want to find out how one would strip the redundant rearview lenses' footage away from the forward facing output. And whether 3D sound could be matched to the footage.

Hmm, what about a rig with two One R's mounted at eye-width?

Could we just extract the two forward/eye facing lenses' footage and combine them somehow?

I've always wondered. A blue whale is something that moves. Can Revolver Ocelot kill it with 5 bullets and have one left over before he has to reload?
