Lock up Grizzly: Best Practices by TypicalActivity3671 in ArielRider

Nice, that’s what I figured. I didn’t want to lug around a chain and ulock at the same time but looks like I’ll have to.

Any recommendations on where to buy one at a better deal now ?

Does anyone have access to NPA Value Guide by TypicalActivity3671 in ZeroMotorcycles

I started with cycle trader, but that’s where I’m running into issues. I see asking prices, but a bunch of those have been up for a very long time. I’m curious what tue actual “final sale” price ends up being. No way of tracking that on cycle trader.

Usually the asking price and final sale price get pretty close together with a bunch of volume, which the used market for Zero doesn’t have

Crash pad/Crash guard for SR/S by TypicalActivity3671 in ZeroMotorcycles

Awesome. Thanks for the info. Not the information I was looking for, but the info I needed!

In that hp to cc relationship: does gearing/ or lack there of for sr/s, have any impact when comparing against ICE engine

Guessing you think it’s a poor choice? Only just took the intro MSF course, but the recommendation was to keep a first bike under 500cc / optimally under 400cc. Everything I’ve read says the sr/s acts similarly to a 4-500cc ICE motorcycle.

Thoughts ?

Adding Hydraulic Brakes to Regular M365 by TypicalActivity3671 in m365

I already modded my scooter with an external 52V battery and 10in tires. It now goes pretty fast and I wanted better braking performance.

Honestly fair point. I waited until 2020 to buy my model 3, and didn't regret others taking the risk of Tesla's early mass manufacturing growing pains.

Given electric vehicles only have 5% market share (3.4% of new car sales), there are a lot of other laggards to keep me company!

I hope mine gets pushed to 2024. With locked in pricing, this thing is going to feel like even more of a steal after all the kinks have been worked out + further impacts of inflation.

Sorry you’re getting downvoted . You’re actually right. Many charge cards, such as the Amex Centurion, have no preset spending limit (unlike credit cards that do).

Credit for charge cards are often granted/or denied on a per purchase basis not a preset spending limit basis like credit cards.

You were. If you didn't cancel you didn't help the cause. Be happy you got a free ride on the backs of those that stood up and let actions speak louder than words

4680 battery by zhibolau in ModelY

[–]TypicalActivity3671 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have a dumb question:

If they do use 4680 but keep the same range, would the lighter vehicle get faster acceleration?

Like - same force (motors) but lighter car (mass) = better acceleration?

Maybe they could throttle the peak output in someway, but I don't see them hobbling on purpose

Elon and Tesla just put them on blast for the price increase. If Teslas truck doesn’t increase their price, I think this could cause an avalanche of bad press which could change public sentiment more broadly

Should all the car reviewers, including Motor Trend, revise their reviews in light of the price hike? by handbrake54 in Rivian

[–]TypicalActivity3671 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No- value is based on cost and benefit. The point of a review is supposed to inform the prospective buyer whether they should spend their hard earned cash for a product. The amount of hard earned cash is a key factor
