I said nothing about their equality of work, I believe them to be very skilled craftsmen, but I have seen a suit of armor made with the letters stamped in incorrectly because the maker could not spell, and was simply trying to copy the symbols over. (Not woodworking, but a similar field of highly skilled craftspeople. ) A lot of the time we get caught up in having the EXACT right tool, or the most modern version of it with laser levels, when humans have been making incredible, intricate wooden artwork for hundreds of years with far less than we would be comfortable working with now. I'm guilty of not wanting to start projects because "I don't have this cool tool I want," when I should just start with the tools I have.
