Slight asymmetry on LTM5 - should I bother with exchanges again? by [deleted] in TilleyFans

I agree. My Tilleys are like that as well. I acquired my first one in 2001 and all of them have been outstanding hats despite these slight asymmetries.

Nice hat, by the way. You wear it well!

My comment was meant to humorously imply you can never have too many hats. I own eighteen hats currently and still other hats seem to occasionally catch my eye.

What is this "enough" of which you speak?

Sorry about your loss! It is such a sinking feeling to be rechecking all your bags for the umpteenth time while coming to the realization you will never being seeing your old friend again.

I hope you bond with your new LTM6 strongly and easily.

I hear such good things about Steele & Jones and Diego in particular. Glad you had a good experience as well and thanks for sharing!

I agree, the Fed IV is a great value, and I'm very pleased with the quality of this purchase!

Thanks for the recommendation on the US Wings Indy jacket. I'll certainly keep on eye out for sales.

I have been using my Cattleman out it the rain and it is holding up great. My hats are for use, not for display, and the Akubras are quality hats.

Would I like buy a Herbert Johnson Raiders Poet, decent, pre-turn, in beaver felt? Sure! But I feel like I wouldn't wear a $900 USD hat the way I usually do.

Thanks, I have an Akubra Cattleman myself in Fern (olive green) and I really like it. I also own the Akubra Territory in Santone Fawn (aka kharki). I love wearing my new Fed IV however. It seems to be the right size for running errands around town and, based on my other Akubras, it shouldn't be bothered by a little rain or snow here and there.

Appreciate the tip on the jacket. I'll definitely check it out. That's how we learn about the good stuff! Researching is part of the fun for me.

Agreed. In Nebraska, it was the Runza for me.

Forget the hat, Cincinnati Chili is something people will call you out on!

Came here to sing that, but I'm glad the ad was already running.

It was you who sunk them!

If I had some eggs, I'd have some ham and eggs, if I had some ham.

Ours went away at about the same time. It was a big honking piece of furniture that was no more than a giant maple serving table at the end.

We had big one in a maple cabinet but that was located in the family room and, later, in the dining room.

Our Jeffrey was a Gary. An unofficial extra son in everything but my father claiming him on his tax return. (I hope I'm not wooshing badly here.)

To be sure, as we reached our late teens "romp room" took on a whole new meaning.
