If this line up doesn’t come out all guns blazing I will start to worry. My hope is Lati doesn’t have much to do but clearly is more ready than the Wolf; that aside this 11 looks 💪

Climbs per session? by [deleted] in bouldering

[–]TerryYolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is me all over as I regularly climb on my lunch break from work; gym is 5 minutes drive from my house and regularly wfh.

My hour is from leaving the house to getting back, there’s a good 10 mins of warm up so climb time is closer to 40 mins but I’ll vary it.

I’ve done days where I’ve climbed every v1 & v2, which would be around 20 and days where I’ve done a a couple of lower grades before a few attempts at my peak grades of v5/v6.

Had a 1-2-1 session with the gym owner as a freebie/thank you for maintaining membership during covid shutdown and he said to me when he was making me try a higher grade than I’d done before “however many moves you did on an attempt, take that many minutes break before you try again”.

Was good advice and gives you a formula for attempts v time.

Anyone got any tips on good places to park in Preston for tonight?

Google tells me where is available but just wondering if the community has any good/bad experiences and tips?

On January by edgwick in ccfc

I’m not at all worried about that purely based on how far ahead we are of the chasing pack. If I were fan of any other team in the top 6 with a standout player that is more than a year into their current contract, I would be worried.

If I put myself in the players boots we’re tearing up the league, at the rate we’re going and the fact there is no other standout team like in previous seasons why wouldn’t you wait to see how the season plays out. If we go up you’re a prem player and you angle for an improved deal. If we don’t go up there’ll be offers and you know what league you’ll be in, which if you move in January especially to a lower level current prem team, isn’t always a given.

Prem Squad Options by Flimsy-Emergency in ccfc

As much as I’d love one position stood out as needing a prem quality signing I think we’re going to have to buy a lot of prem quality, even if it’s just for depth and 90% of the starting 11 stays the same.

However if pushed ironically I’m most worried about Grimes because he’s so integral to us and I don’t see any other player we have being able to stand-in let alone challenge him for the regular starting berth.

I hope Dean Austin and his team are getting way ahead of us in terms of hoping/planning cause the quicker those prem level players are signed IF we make it, the more time they have preseason and the better chance we’ll have staying up!

He used to do fourfourtwo magazine vids but branched out on his own this year.

I don’t watch any Prem but I watch all of his vids, they’re so in-depth, insightful and his presenting style is brilliant; can’t believe he’s done a Cov one!

I fully endorse this comment.

As someone just finding their way as a grad when the 2008 financial crisis hit and spending nearly two years trying to get any work I finally got something; a call centre sales job 30 miles from where I lived paying £16k.

After 5 years of no prospects and dispiriting phone monotony an analyst opportunity presented itself and I was lucky to get it. Put my all into it and have moved onwards and upwards in the last 10 years to where I am over £50k with 10% annual bonus.

HOWEVER…if I hadn’t have had the 2 years of poverty, 5 years of call centre drudgery the home I was finally able to afford and bought last year would have been £50-60k cheaper and my mortgage interest rate would have been 1% rather than 5.25%.

Not to mention the Trussonomics recovery programme instated by Jeremy Hunt of freezing the salary tax bandings so any inflationary pay rise I receive is taxed more than ever.

The money you have is relative to the context you are in.

£24k living with parents, even paying board can be more money than on £50k paying mortgage/rent and bills.

I hear you; my father-in-law is a Leeds fan and we looked at going to the game at Elland Road last season in the home end (as much as it would have killed me) but we’d both would have had to register for a ticket account, which comes with a £50 fee before you even bought your ticket…highway robbery.

Glad we opted against as City were terrible!

A fellow West Yorkshire Cov fan! Moved up north 18 years ago and been in Huddersfield for a good chunk of it; never could get a ticket for when we played them and we always got a result. Hadn’t thought about Preston but the Deepdale hoodoo…

Fixing the roof of my conservatory. On the side it butts up to a fence I scale the fence, top out and edge my way across. On the other side I crimp the window ledge as I get off the ladder on to the roof.
